Hi Hilly,
Ive been on spring break vacation with my daughter this week. We went to Florida and did Universal Studios, Wet and Wild and Sea World. Frankly I am bushed, but had a great time with my daughter. It is really hard still to do stuff like that but I push myself and try not to notice all the other families that are still a couple and just have fun.
Im not sure where you are in this whole process, but you definitely evolve as time goes by. I vowed to try to be optomistic and that was not my usual prebreakup MO. I am still not sure how I have done it, I have decided that it is that I am really alot happier without my h or it is the antidepressants I have been taking since he left. I still love him, I just know that he is not the same man I was married to. I just don't obsess about him and the OW anymore. It is easier for me because he literally told me everthing about her he had misgiving about and over time those things have become huge thorns in his side. He still sees her but he hides her from our children, this I take as a sign that he doesn't want those parts of his life mixing. She is alot younger than him and he is definetely running the show.
I have found that this site can give you a ton of support and info that will help you along in the day to day struggles that we all have. Some days you will need advise and somedays you will give advise. It all balances out and some people are more postitive and some people are endlessly negative. It gives you a place to vent and explore options that need to be weighed before taken.
It was nice of you to respond to me. I hope I can offer you advise or help if you ever may need it. Take care. Gerri
