First and formost I'd like to say "THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!"
I am going to try and just let him do it all (D papers)...if I can....Sometimes I just feel like throwing my hands up in the air and saying "You wanna give up? Fine!!" But I really don't want to give up...
We have a condo & a house....We discussed the living arrangements before we seperated 6 months ago...and agreed that he would stay at the condo and I at the house. Well, he just had a meeting with a loan officer to see if he can refinance the condo and have my name taken off, just in case bills fell behind, he doesn't want me to be held accountable for his debts. Which I respect him for, but I don't know whether to go ahead and sign the papers or what? Any suggestions?

I don't know what the implications of this would be. Have you talked to a lawyer? I hate to sound cynical, but if your name is not on the condo, it doesn't count as marital property, right? Do you then lose any equity if you were to sell it (or he was to sell it?). If you are divorced and the house is still in his name, he is entitled to half, right? So what about the condo? Or are you guys waiving any rights to the other if you take the house and he takes the condo? Ok...have I completely confused the issue? Cause now I'm confused. I just think you need to seek professional advice before you do this. Maybe if he takes your name off the condo, his name should be off the house to protect you. Just my opinion.

------------------
Blessed be.
****************
Keridwen
Keridwen_7@yahoo.com

No Keridwen...you didn't confuse me....I know what you were saying and yes we agreed to do this for both the house and the condo...but right now...he is paying me the condo mortgage and I'm sending it in.

Find out how much the condo is worth vs. what you owe on it. Tell him you want half the equity. He can't get your name of it unless you sign the papers.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources
