When the kids tell me they want Mommy to forget about the divorce, what do I say?
I can't tell her because she sees it as a manipulation!

Read some books on this subject, there are a lot of good ones out. My 2 oldest were 6 and 8 when my divorce started.
They have been in counseling since it started and are happy well adjusted kids now. No child wants to see their parents divorce.
If the divorce is inevitable, it should be done in a way to teach the kids acceptance.
Dana
Let them know it's okay to express their feelings about it but let them know that it is her decision to make.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources

Thanks Chris, that is what I have done! It is hard not being in control and I am sure the kids experience the same thing!

There is a book that I read to my children who are 3 and 6 which was very helpful talking through divorce. I think the name is "Even Dinosaurs Divorce". This was also recommended by numerous therapists, etc.
Also, "The Boys and Girls Book on Divorce" by Gardner is very good. He also has one called "The Parents Book on Divorce" which is very good too but more for reference as issues come up.
The titles above may not be the exact names but I think you could find them with the names I've given.
Good luck!
