I'll throw this open for discussion. I haven't done this dating non-exclusively thing since I was 18. And that was a while ago.
Been dating this guy for 5 months. Talked to him last on Tuesday night of last week. I know he was going out of town this past weekend and he will be going out of town this weekend. I am the one who initiated the call last Tuesday.
I haven't heard from him since. We parted on good terms and I definitely would like to hear from him. Don't think he's Mr. Right but he is wonderful company. I enjoy being with him.
Should I call him or wait to see just how long it takes him to call me. Don't want to seem to be chasing him but don't want to seem disinterested.
So, what's a woman to do?

Cinderella:
I don't know much about dating either...but my philosophy is I'm not a kid anymore and I am not in the mood or do I have the desire to play cat and mouse games. If you like this guy, call him. If you are like me, you think, well, if he cared and was thinking about me then he would call. If he doesn't want to call me...then who needs him...then again, he could be busy, maybe he's sick, maybe he just can't, so maybe I should call...what to do...what to do. It's enough to make you crazy. Did I say I was too old for this type of thing?
Call him; even if its just to say hi. Life is short, if you have found someone you enjoy being with...enjoy...it doesn't have to be true love. I have found in this world, just finding someone who is kind and considerate that you can hang out with is a blessing.
Make that call.

I tend to agree with Lonelysoul. Life is too short to play games and if you like spending time with this man, then call him.
You know, some of us men are a little strange ourselves and we like to feel wanted now and again. There is the chance that this guy is just waiting for you to call him again, just to see if you will. I wouldn't start playing the 'jump to conclusion'game just yet. You have been dating each other now for 5 months so you should feel comfortable enough in calling him, if for nothing more than to just make sure he made it back to town alright. It may just give him the warm fuzzies to know that you care about him.
Make the call.
------------------
JH93
[This message has been edited by Jayhawk 93 (edited October 23, 2000).]

OK - sorry I didn't see your messages before I left the office last night.
It seems I do most of the call initiating and I don't want to seem too pushy or too disinterested.
Jayhawk - I'm laboring over a new thread I feel the need to post. But it will be the most embarrassing one I've posted yet. You'll love it - it's about sex. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

Actually no, I have not seen the new rings. I lost my ring and gained an earing instead. I had my ear pierced when I was 16 and hadn't worn an earing for about 8 years. I surprised the hole was even still there.

I'm still not sure how I feel about men wearing earrings. I just don't know. I think it depends on the man.

What about dinner Saturday night? Assuming I don't have to buy another set of dishes. No need for a kosher kitchen at my house. Will you be flying or driving. If driving, you'll need directions from which interstate? If flying, would you like for me to meet your plane or will you get a taxi to the house. Or you could send for me again? Dinner last Friday was so wonderful. Bill wasn't brave enough to accept my invitation for this weekend so I'm all yours.

Dinner Saturday would be wonderful, but I am going to be out of town so I can't. I will definately take a rain check though. Actually, I'll even be closer to your home state then I was last week. If I would have known that Bill was going to blow off your offer then I would have arranged it to have my Saturday free.
Kosher??? What's that?
Bill, you don't know what your missing [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
[This message has been edited by Jayhawk 93 (edited October 26, 2000).]

From something on another thread, I gathered you were a NJB or would you now be a NJM?
-- The preceeding was typed with a flirt in my fingers? --
