Hi WIFTTy,
--sorry Willbok not trying to take over you subject --
I almost took a job in Waltham. The commute would have been hell on earth. Going through 3 in Lowell to Nashua is non stop bumper traffic.
Not to sound deranged but I had hoped that you were female. So I would know someone up here who went through the same stuff I have. I get the impression thought from some of your posts that you are male. Sorry to bother you. Wishing you the best on your time off.
I hike in the White Mountains a lot (I even have a season parking sticker on my car), so I'm through Manchester often during the summer. I also fly out of MHT instead of Logan when possible. It used to be a hidden secret of an airport, now its getting congested...
Bystander

Hey bystander,
Yes the Manchester Airport is so easy. Even with the congestion it is better than Logan, JFK, LaGuardia and Newerk. The airport is growing. They are buying out most of the houses on Brown Ave to widen the road. Next it looks like that area will be re-zoned for comercial areas. At least that is what everyone is pushing for. If not the airport is planning on purchasing the land.
It looks like that with all the re-zonning and growth of the airport Manchester is trying to start to position itself as a major player for new companies.
I love going hiking in the White Mountains. Which area do you go? I have been all over. It seems we go to Man on the Mountain area the most in the White Mountains area. We snowmobile from there to Mt. Washington. It is really nice. The only downfall is the traffic on the weekends. The tolls on Rt 3 out side of Manchester and the toll on 93 outside of Concord take forever.
Hi P1,
I didn't know that MHT was buying out all the houses on Brown. That makes sense, though.
As far as WMNF hiking, I'm working on my 4,000 Footers. The last couple of years I've been working on the northern peaks. My last climb was in August when I went up the headwall of the Madison Gulf solo. I summited Mt. Madison and then descended by the Osgood Trail.
Want to discuss this via email?
Bystander
