my stbx is taking the kids to see his mom
new years weekend...and I am going out of town to visit some friends..and he told
them that I am going to go out there and NOT
come home..they live w/ me..and I have only
been away from them four times in their entire lives..for a short weekends..to visit friends, going to weddings and such..so I have ALWAYS been with them other than those times..I was a stay home mom until Oct. when I went back to work..and my 8 and 6 year olds were sooo distraught today..they kept calling
me at work crying..and when I got home tonite, they would barely talk to me..
And then they asked me why I didn't call them
this past weekend while they were with him...
he had told them they "COULDN'T" call me..but that if I wanted to talk to them that I would call them...they have always called me when they have been over there..even just over night..so they thought I didn't want to talk to them...because of that...I WAS SOOOOO MAD!!!!
I mean thats a form of mental abuse..I have never told them they can't call Him...when he hasn't been here..I just can't believe he would say that...
You need to protect yourself...
...seek legal advice on what to do...
..."alienation of parent" is VERY serious!!!
This needs to be documented... and a lawyer can give the best way to do this (in your state).
... I usually make the recommendation of finding a good attorney. A good place to start off is at the Martindale-Hubbell Lawyer Search site. Do a search within your county... look for only "family law" specialists(>80% in divorce/custody/etc.)... make sure they do a lot of "family law committee work"... if they know the judges all the better... You can normally find a few that will give initial counseling free of charge.
USLaw.com (an alternative search site)
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Jim

I'm sorry, but that is unacceptable of any parent to do that to another. Using his own kids to get at you is so low......I agree, seek legal advice, nip that in the bud ASAP. I've seen first hand results of that sort of thing done by my ex-brother in law to my sister. He tried to manipulate his son by trying to turn him against his mother, however it backfired and now his son hates him more than anything. Good luck.
Jax

Wow, what a rotten thing to do. No matter how much my STBXw has hert me, I'd never turn my son against her. (she & her little boyscout are going to a fine job of that on there own. They don't need any help from me ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
There has to be a way you can at least document this to protect yourself and your children. His behavior is completely out of line.
Take care...
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain
and makes the sun come out again
