Well, the decision on the editorial assistant position has been made. Not the one I wanted, however.<P>The man needs a secretary. While I can do rudiments of the job, I know I am not the best woman for the job. So, it's not going to be mine. <P>But, I know that I don't possess talent in that area and I don't want a job where I'll be that stressed out. So, it's ok. Besides, he might come back later and say he does need me. <P>I do have some reading materials he gave me and I thought I might drop by one day and return them with a letter thanking him for his time and interest and hinting that I believe a lot of the stuff he right about is accurate (that the actions and attitudes of people with chronic medical conditions is almost as important in the long-term outcome and the actions of the physician). And that if he wants to talk in the future about a position where my skills would be beneficial, I remain open to that. <P>So, Wednesday of this week, I have another interview - for a position in human resources department of this university. We'll see what comes of that.<P>I do think I'll wear the same clothes as before. I looked nice. And if I were to choose to wear a dress it would be either too casual or very classic from 12 years ago.<BR>So, back to the black wool crepe slacks, red top, and black cardigan jacket. <P>Only I'll have to lose my red fingernail polish I have on today. Wonderful color, "I'm Not Really A Waitress"!<P>Life goes on. Wish me luck!<P>

Good luck there, Princess :P<P>I think your idea of returning the books to him along with a "thank you" letter would be a good idea. He obviously liked <B>you</B>, it just wasn't the job for you.<P>Careers are a lot like men/women.....the right one is out there, you just have to find it!!!

Well, at least there is still potential for a postion there in the future. I like the thank you note idea too. <P>Good luck with the interview on Wednesday.... and if you have to lose the <I>Not really a Waitress</I>, then use it on your toes! That's my favorite color, and I'm gonna get my nail gal to paint my toes for me this week (since I can't reach them myself right now ).<P>I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you on Wednesday.... I survived. No major problems. No decision. They hope to make one by the end of next week. We'll see. I really don't have a sense of how it went.
