Hi Guys and Gals.
I've been lurking in the background for a while now and thought I would post an update on my situation.
The Big D isn't final yet but close. No mediation, just negoiation, All is complete except but to sign the papers. My lawyer called about 2 weeks ago to ask how things were going with same and I said good. I get the house and she get 80% of my retirement. Child support has been worked out, visitation worked out, everything. The lawyer said he didn't believe it. He asked if there was anypulling of finger nails, Spitting or cuseing. Nope, I said. So lets get on with it. So I went in witht he documetation and he took it all down and started to write up the final decree. When its complete I am to bring the STBXW in for signitures and then since its been over 60 days since I filed I could go to court anytime an opening in the courts would let mem in. then its over. And let me tell you I can't wait.
Yesterday afternoon the STBXW calls and says my daughter has a school play after school. I was abit upset that she waited to the last minute to call me about it but I was cool and said I would be there. I showed up and video'd the whole event.
The thought that kept running through my head was that my STBXW is one of the most indefferent, unemotional creatures I have ever met. Kinda like putting your hand in a bucket of luke warm water that is body temp. you don't even know your hand is in water. I just didn't want to be around her. Her indefference was absolutely deafining and at the same time amasing.
I'm not depressed, I'm not angry, I'm not on the roller coaster here, I'm not upset (much). Thinking about it this morning I belief what I feel is disappointment.
What a tramatic waste.
On another note. If you remember one of my old post about bad things happening after I see my lawyer. It happened again. The first time after we saw each other I got rear ended, the 2nd time I hit a Porche, this time I got a speeding ticket. I think I will have one of my buddies drop me off at court and then drive me home afterwards.

I understand how you feel. My STBXH met me at my office the other day (he needed me to endorse a check) and I hadn't seen him for awhile. There I am unable to look him in the eyes because I am so filled with emotion, and there he is Mr. Stoic, matter of fact, no emotion, just totally not even touched or moved. In his mono tone voice-I hope you are doing well.
Excuse me, hello, remember me-The one who was with you through thick and thin, the one who'd go to the ends of the earth for you. I too am just amazed at how indifferent they can be.
I am left very upset and disappointed.
You are correct when you say "what a tramatic waste".
Hang in there
and definately get a ride from one of your buddies to the court house!!!!!!!!
Petrie- agoodwomaninCA [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Happy your happy about your Big D. I take it your STBXW could not be considered as someone who wore their heart on their sleeve. I can't help but think that she needs a lot of help. How unfortunate to go through life not feeling, & what a "bill of goods to be sold" to think not feeling any pain is a worth while trade-off. Although I can't help but think it is something that like drugs & alcohol could be sold to many of the lost souls who never knew the hurt could hurt that much.
Kudos on the video move for your daughter - sounds like the perfect movie for the two of you to idle away the day or night in perfect harmony.
Echo, Echo, Echo on the buddy drop at court . . .
My son very, very upset we can't get the Dallas Star playoffs with the Oilers up here in New York (big Hockey Fan - Mike Modano) - Oh the tragedy them 9 yr olds go through.
Good Luck, God Bless, Prayers to All,

------------------
StarCrossed
