<BR>Am I the only person here looking forward to their divorce being final?<P>My heart goes out to you folks mourning the end of your marriages, but even though I never wanted a divorce (I wanted the abuse to end - and he has shown that this is the only way) I am going to be so relieved when this nightmare of a procedure is over.

I'll join the club. I've been separated 6yrs (I'm going for a record) and I'm ready to have this over and done with. I started the papers over a year ago but my paralegal skipped town half way through the process so I had to start over again. <P>After all my love, frustration, caring, and time to make our marriage work and then getting only the least amount required from him (and usually not even that much) in return, I'm ready to move forward, I'm ready for life without my stbxH. <BR>I am looking FORWARD! And I'm happy about it!

Count me in. Legal separation was 16 months ago and we haven't even totaly settled child support yet. That is next week (hopefully). Then the divorce. Maybe we can get it done by the end of the year.

I was looking forward to it towards the end, but after it was over, I still kept having doubts for a while. I don't think its necessary to mourn for too long, because we do have a life worth living and owe it to ourselves to do that. I think your not as alone as you might think here!
