Well, I went with some friends to their church today. I didn't have the kids and we decided we would go out to lunch after the service.<P>This is a Christain church. There was a guest speaker. Not a pastor but I guess a lecturer/ author. He feels the Holy Spirit in the room and goes to persons and we all pray for that person and their "problem". Anyway, Ive never been in this church and he says to the congregation. "I know someone who is out there who is in the midst of divorce. Who has the papers. God will Abort this." he said something else but my friend looks at me and the whole congregation is praying for this, I don't raise my hand or anything but WOW!m ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ME I want to scream but I don't. <P>While I am a baby Christian, I need all those believers to help me follow thru with what God has spoken. Later my friends and I prayed further about this and I am telling everyone I know what has happened.<P>I got part of my officical papers on Fri and I assume my H lawyer got a copy also so this Mon or Tues I would suspect my H will get a call from his lawyer. I am nervous about this because it states what we are requesting from H. I don't think H thinks I have the courage to go thru with this but he has forced me to do this by not supporting his family even though he walked out on us. <P>So, What do you think?<P>Hopelessmom

I would be careful about getting too worked up over this.<P>How many people were at the service? Divorce is all-too common nowadays, and I suspect that if I were speaking to a room of 100 people, and I said "who here is going through a divorce?" it would be a good bet that someone would raise their hand.

Hopeless mom - I think All things are possible with God. My H has had a very complicated A with a coworker and said he was leaving me for her.We've been married 15 yrs 3 kids I am a SAHM and dont want a divorce.He said That he didnt love me anymore- he loves her. That our marriage is hopeless- that counseling wouldnt help ( he went once then quit) that my faults are so many that he could never be happy with me. He even went so far as to secretly file for divorce on me 2 wks ago( he said he was afraid I would take the kids back to my relatives so he filed first)He knows I am against divorce because of religious reasons. The night after I got served with the papers he had a breakdown started to cry and said he still loves me and is making the worst mistake of his life! The next day he cancelled the papers. Do I think this is the work of the man upstairs? you bet! God will never leave you nor forsake you.Remember this no matter what happens. I am not telling you my story to create false hope in you, just to let you know not every divorce ends up being final. Who did I call first after I got those papers? A good Christian friend- I went to her house and called my pastor and attorney. Peace and hope to you. Find some support for yourself- it will help you at this most difficult time. lifeismessy
