I actually got out of the house today. I went to see a movie, Jurassic Park 3. When I got back home I found a message on my answering machine asking me to come to a birthday party for her son. It was from the women that I had not seen in several years. I went and actually had a good time. It still feels kind of strange going to places alone. I am going to try and go to the zoo or museum or any place that I can think of at least once a week. I need to get used to doing things by myself. Just finished reading some of the posts here. It makes me sad to hear that alot of you are being treated badly by their WS. Sometimes I wonder what has gone wrong with our society. Even the animals in the wild do not treat each other with as much disrespect or cruelty as we treat one another. If I had the money I would live out in the country to try and get away from city life. I am still trying to find a local support group here. Does anybody on this board live in Albuquerque, New Mexico? If so I would like to get in touch with you if you don't mind. Having somebody local to talk to would be nice. I know that I still have a long way to go but to everyone else don't give up the ship just yet. My prayers are with you all.

Nice job, Orlando.
I want to see JPIII, too. My youngest son wants to go as well, but I've got no money...I think I will talk to my XMIL, she's a wonderful person...going through a D, also, and has always been very kind to me. She also doesn't get to see my kids very often...but...I really want to go see Planet of the Apes...I remember going to all of them when I was younger...and enjoying them a great deal. Last night, I talked to a friend (25) about them, and he said, 'Yes, they were the ultimate in campy, cheap sci-fi.' I had to tell him that he was dating himself, and that at the time, they were considered state-of-the art sci-fi. Kids! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) -Mike

Hey, I went to that movie this weekend. Don't you think they needed one more scene at the end of the movie with Dr. going back and thanking the girl he called? Spent the day by myself at the mall and then took in the movie. Then went out to eat with some co-workers.
I know it feels weird going places alone, but it is something that will start feeling better with time. Now Sunday, I stayed home alone all day, and you talk about feeling lonely.
Healing is a process and it takes time.
