Some of the handles here are unique and interesting, and not obvious how they came to be.<P>My own has a little history...I had a brother (since passed away) who used to tease me by elongating my given name to end with NINO. When I first posted, I thought I'd use that, but I felt it was a bit masculine, so I changed it to Nina. But there was already someone listed as Nina, so I became Nina too.<P>Anyone else???

Mine is pretty obvious, it is short for SOFTBALL PLAYER. I have played softball since I was 5 years old and my husband and I met on the softball field and actually got married at home plate in our uniforms. We are still playing softball to this day.

I have one in mind but I haven't been able to accomplish the mission. I tried to going to profiles and then I tried to re-register but it wouldn't allow me to because somebo( me) already had that email address - Any ideas???

Do you have another email address you could use for your new name? Otherwise I once read that you can sometimes contact administrators, I think it was Mike? who said that.

Gee--I think mine is pretty obvious. I started off on the Emotional Needs forum when my H left me, and I was the faithful wife. When I was a young girl, I would spend time with my grandparents. I would crawl between them when I spent the night, and my gramps said I was a little "BedBug"! I have been called "Bug" ever since. <P>When I wanted to create a user name when I first got on the computer, I used BedBug. But I got every pervert out there wanting to "Chat" with me. So I just changed it to ladybug with a "B". And I have used Bladybug ever since.

Well, I started out with <I>Overseas Casualty</I> because we had just returned from living in E. Europe for six years... and that was the place where my H decided that he wanted to separate/divorce... so I felt like a casualty. I know victim mentality... he accuses me of it all the time and implores that there is more than one victim here. Ok, yeah.<P>Then after a while of posting with that name, it got too long to type in for myself and for people trying to respond to me.. So, I just abbreviated it to <I>OvrCs</I> because that's where I was when I really needed to find this place!<P>Thanks for asking... though maybe I told you that before. Mine was simple ,<BR>When I first found out of the d and my wives affair I was so deviated and destroyed I had a nervous breakdown , That is now 9 weeks ago. I did not realize it, so I went off early one day to my parents house and just sat down and cried for about 3 hours. emotionally I was torn to pieces and then jsut stared through the lounge window. Then suddenly out of the blue I remembered that my father kept his gun Behind the curtain railing. I took the gun and cocked it at the same time my eyes fell on a wedding photo of my W and I. I really wanted to so badly pull that that trigger then again my eyes wounded the room and there in the center of the room was my savior, a picture off me and my beautiful boys . I put the gun away and then started to weep. Thats why I used Nowilltocarryon.But now IVE GOT PLENTY TO CARRY ON FOR, MY KIDS. I THINKS I MUST CHANGE MY HANDLE.<BR>

My handle came around for a number of reasons. First, it's the name of a really good old movie. Second, it reflects my admiration for an animal that is majestic and regal and admired, yet also feared and hated. I like the wolf's sense of family in that they mate for life, go without to provide for their children, and have a strong sense of self and community. A wolf will die to protects its mate, its young, and if necessary its pack. I think those are traits that more human beings should learn. Plus, they're just beautiful animals. Maybe it is a silly name, but I've used it for years and I'm not about to change now.<P>------------------<BR>Don't look back. You never know what is gaining on you.

Well, I know my name looks a little conceited, BUT - the Rdhead part is obvious - I a true redhead. The 10 part is two fold - my husband, when we were trying to figure out an aol screen name for me, said to add 10 to it because that is how is saw me - as a "10". Also, there were so many other people using rdhead as a screen name that the next available number after trying #1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 - #10 was open!!
