Oh, Dana, the diplomatic talks have taken all my time and I didn't realize that you were having a major event. Sorry I missed it. I vaguely remember 29! It was sooooo long ago...I think that was the year we invented the wheel. <P>You know what is funny? I also had a harder time with 29 than 30--I think because by the time 30 came along, I had given up on worrying about getting older. Now when my baby sister turned 30--THAT was a problem. Remember, I am quite a lot older than my baby sister, and so I always felt like she was my kid, not my sister. How could I possibly have a KID that was 30yo? That means that I am older than 30!! heehee.<P>Anyway, did you do anything special or fun to celebrate your day, Dana? Bumper had blueberry pancakes made by his grandkids with blue crayons!! ((((((((((Ladies))))))))))))<P>Thank you for the birthday wishes. <P>I can see where turning 29 might feel more weird than 30! I am real sentimental about holidays, anniversaries, and certain occasions. So I decided that when I turn 30, or before I turn 31, I'd like to have accomplished something positive rather than dwell on the divorce.<P>So I signed up for college. (AGAIN). I already have one degree, but I'm going back, this time for Information Technology and Computer Programming. Lucky me, the first part of my degree is only 16 months because I had transfer credits, so if I don't take a semester off, I graduate a few months after I turn 30! <P>I think I need that to give me some focus and take away my focus on relationships as much as I have the past year.<P>Let's see, my ex husband's grandma and aunt took me to lunch for my birthday, and gave me money too! My best girilfriend got me new clothes for school. My best guy pal took me to a soccer game and then to a bar after to check out all the players up close and personal. <P>Oh, and to top it off, I didn't hear from my now ex bf of one year (yes we broke up). I heard from him the day before and he was actually pretty rude. It was a hard break up and the main reason I've been off MB for a while. I have felt pretty numb for a while, now I'm getting angry! (how often do you see ME get angry?)<P>So that's it for my birthday. It was mostly quiet and my own kids wanted to spend the day at their friends, and I wound up giving them my bday money to send them to Six Flags. (Out of guilt, exH hasn't taken kids since June 15, OW seems to be putting stop to it).<P>Well friends, I hope to be on the boards more just as soon as I get settled into school and get a routine going.
