I am 22 years old and my husband is 25 years old, we got married last March and what seemed to be the perfect marriage is now down the tubes. About 5 months ago he left because he felt that he needed time, to think about what he wanted. He was confused about being married. 3 days after leaving he calls me crying telling me he didnt mean anything he said, and that he loves me and wants to be with me. Well last week I ask him one simple question, "Are you happy?" and he replies that he isnt and that he needs time. He doesnt want to hurt me and he knows that when he leaves again he will regret it. Well 2 days after leaving for the second time he calls me asking me to forgive him and that he knows he is wrong for leaving, instead of handling things like a man, he runs from the situation. Iam soooo confused about the whole thing. I told him that I wanted to go to counseling before I decide to take him back. I feel that he doesnt love me and that if I take him back, he's gonna keep leaving whenever things get rough. I am a very independent girl and feel that I deserve better. He is a sweet guy but I just dont know. Please help!!

Wow, you guys are so young. I'm sorry to hear this is happening.
Did you know each other long before getting married? Has he ever been in a long term relationship before? Do you think he may be seeing someone?
Read all around this site, Plan A and Plan B especially. Then decide how you are going to deal with things. There is lots of good information here, and lots of support. We will try and help.
Elizabeth

To answer your questions Elizabeth. I've known my husband since I was 12 years old. We lived around the corner to each other and then I moved to another state to attend school about 3 years ago. He's actually one of my brothers good friends. As far as him being in a long term relationship. Yes, he actually has a 7 year old daughter, but he only lived with her about 1 or 2 years, and then he was in another relationship which lasted about 4 years (they were also engaged and I happen to know her) but things didnt work out for them. And then I came along. I don't think he is seeing someone else.
