That's about the only word I have to describe his incredibly angry/rude behavior lately. He has always been somewhat of a poop head, but about two weeks before the divorce was final (a week ago today), he just started acting really really mean and bitter.

I know that he has not dealt with this whole thing emotionally. My belief is that he is still in the fog and I'm not even sure the OW exists anymore.

He thinks he has given me the moon and stars in this divorce - I kept the house, he kept his 401K. It's all pretty fair. Yes, I got the furniture, but HE drew up the papers and decided he wanted me to have all the household belongings.

NOw he is holding the car gift affidavit and quit claim deed over my head. So, I called and talked to his attorney yesterday who was VERY pleasant and agreeable. See my XH is moving out of state one week from this Friday and is giving me nothing but a forwarding phone number. I suggested to him a week ago that he should sign the quit claim deed and have his attorney hold on to it until I had loan commitment and a closing date. Then, his attorney could just forward it to my lender so I can get it at my closing. No big deal, right? Well, anyway - I just wanted to vent.

I'm okay. I just got this email from him while typing this post....

"please stay out of my life, and that includes my family...leave us all alone"

WHATEVER!

Oh, llama, you are so lucky. Your X is moving out of the state!! I would give anything if my XH would move out of the state (he lives one street behind me now).

Your XH sure doesn't sound happy in his new life does he? Could it be he realizes the mistake he made by leaving you and now he is turning his anger against you?

I had a run in with my XH today concerning our taxes. Something must be in the air. I actually refused to talk to him and I had blocked his e-mail address, so our receptionist, bless her heart, took care of him. He was actually nice; that scares me more than when he's stark raving mad. By the way, my XH just got back from a vacation in Colorado with the second OW while our FJ was being signed. Now I'm venting, and this is your thread, llama. Sorry.

I went through something similar with the quit-claim deed to the house. My XH finally signed it when he found out the first OW (his ex-girlfriend) was pregnant. Guilt goes a long way sometimes. That is how I got my quit-claim deed. What a soap opera. My XH is a walking Jerry Springer guest!!

MAW-
Our agreement was that I would refinance the house within 90 days of the final dissolution and then he would give me a quit claim deed to remove his name from the house title. Hope that helps.

Sorry to hear he is being a jerk. You don't deserve that.

Maybe he's not happy now that he's got what he wants. Surprise! Sounds like he's dealing with it by making you out to be the bad guy.

Ugh.

Take care,
JG

My response:

Happy to oblige. Let's just finish up this unfinished business that was ordered by the court - sign the documents and you're free of me! Otherwise, I'm going to be like the collection agent from H3LL! You want to be rid of me? Update -

Haven't talked to XH via email since Monday. This is a GOOD thing. Tomorrow morning he is supposed to come to my house, remove this piece of furniture and a few other belongings as well as pick up the quit claim deed which I hunted down and completed. Supposedly after that he will go to attorney's and sign and have her hold them.

The good news is after this visit, he should never have to set foot on my property again and hopefully I won't have to talk to him either.

It still amazes me how he told me how important I was to him even after I requested that he go ahead and file. And, now he is such a bitter [censored]. It's sad in a way that someone is still so in the fog and are clueless about what they want in their life. It's a shame that he has to make me out to be the bad guy to make him feel better. I guess he forgot about all the unnecessary pain and humiliation he has caused.

My sister said something kind of funny last night. She says she kind of misses my XH around. Granted, he did get along with my family pretty well. I told her that I'll always look back on the good times, but that I don't miss him. Maybe in time - he'll forgive himself and find some happiness in his life.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll be happy when I get home from work tomorrow and his stuff is finally gone. I worked all day on my front yard garden last Saturday and am planning on tackling the backyard this holiday weekend. Having dinner with a friend tomorrow night and planning on getting a massage and a pedicure on Saturday. This weekend is all about ME!!!!

llama: You sound like you are doing great. Don't ever let poop head get you down again. You are too good for him.

I blocked my XH's e-mail weeks ago and a couple of days ago, he tried to send me an e-mail, couldn't get through, so he actually "lowered" himself to call me at the office. I refused to speak to him so our receptionist took care of him. He was shocked that he couldn't get through to me as he always could before. It felt so good - I was in control for a change.

I am having a ME weekend also - I, too, am going to work in the backyard; dinner with family; shopping, etc.

You sound great llama, keep it up!!

I hear what u r saying about your XH i too have one of them. He to feelings like he has not gotten anything from the seperation. Although he got half of the household goods and everything from the outside including the kids fishing stuff and winter toys plus he got his truck and all his stuff tools toys etc. Me I moved with the smallest moving truck u can get and could only fit basiclly the kid's stuff in it. how do u deal with that. I'm made out to be this greedy person. And i lets everyone know it to.
just venting as well. You have to right idea in taking care of u. Good for you.
