Got my auto insurance bill this weekend. XH still on my policy; a policy I had long before we married. I just called my insurance agent and spoke with his assistant. I told her to just split me off and write me a new policy which would be easier than dealing with XH. I asked about payment and she said she would need some sort of payment as soon as the policy was written (today) and we would have to write new policy immediately so XH could get notification and have plenty of time so his insurance wouldn't lapse.
I told her nicely that wasn't my problem and that I hadn't planned to pay for my insurance until it expired in early Oct. She then took off on me about how she has had to deal with this previously when our insurance came due in April (my XH was giving her a hard time-not me) and she went on and on. She was extremely rude; I just let her talk, said thank you and hung up. She called me back a few minutes later with a very insincere apology. Her boss must have overheard her.
It just makes me so mad. My XH caused all this and I take the brunt of this woman's rath. Maybe someday she will meet and marry someone like my XH and understand what I am going through.
Thanks for letting me blow off some steam. I feel better now.

Heck, I think I would have told her to just cancel the policy and refund the rest of my premium to me so I could go elsewhere.
I'm not in a good mood either. Can you tell? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
