Between my XH and his attorney, if their brains were gunpowder and I threw a match at them, they couldn't blow their noses.
Okay, that was my vent.
I already wrote my XH that it was okay if his parents picked up our son at school at 3:20 if he got out of work at 2:30. Problem is, his hours vary - he doesn't always get out at 2:30. He very often works until 4:30. I don't want the kids alone with grandparents for hours. Reasons why listed in previous thread.
So he files a motion to change the order so that grandparents can pick up the kids at school as he works until 4:30. (That's in his motion. 4:30.) I don't agree with this. I hire an attorney. My atty asks his atty for proof of his hours from his employer. He gets back a note that says XH gets out of work at 2:30.
If he got out of work at 2:30, there would be no issue here. He could easily be at the school by 3:00.
I'm not taking any parenting time away from him. I've offered him extra time, over and over. He has accepted ALL of it EXCEPT time with just his daughter, offered FIVE different times now. He does spend some time with just his son.
My atty is trying to arrange a meeting between the four of us, XH and I and our attys, rather than going before the not-very-patient judge again.
He needs to quit playing around, costing us money, and trying to take my time away from me. [ November 07, 2002, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: ex-Princess Buttercup ]

Why does this have to cost me money!!?
I already sent XH a letter, in response to one of his own, stating:
Parenting Time: In accordance with the court order, your parenting time starts after school or when you get out of work, whichever is later. Since you usually work until 2:30, this should not be much of an issue. If you or your parents will be picking up {son} at 3:20 dismissal, there is no need for me to show up to pick him up in your absence. As you will be at work, I will pick up {son} on all half days of school.
Now I have attorney's fees because XH wants to have a hearing before the judge to modify the judgement of divorce to state that his parents can pick up the children after school ... which is already acceptable if he's not working and has been happening for over a year!
Why do I have to pay for his tantrums?
He also claimed I refused to agree to change his attorney's mistake that granted me Christmas Day in even AND odd years ... his motion was the first time I noticed it was an error ... we had agreed that I should have odd and he should have even so I have the kids the same years my divorced sisters have their kids. So simple it's stupid.
So, you think the judge will award me my attorney fees, or no?
