My wife of 7 years doesn't have the feelings for me that she knows she needs to make our marriage work, and she doesn't know how to get them back. I have read and made the changes in myself that needed changing, but it hasn't made a difference. She won't do the things needed to make the marriage work until she has the feelings for me back, and I believe she won't get the feelings back until she starts to do the things needed for the marriage. What can we do?
First of all, you would be better of posting in the Emotional Needs forum. Second, It is a common myth that when a spouse looses that lovin' feelin' that she/he needs to make changes. It is actually the other spouse that needs to change. I read that you perceive that you have made changes, and this might be a good start. However, i would venture to guess that they weren't the right changes.
Click on the concepts link above and read dr Harley's concepts. Then skip over to Dr. Mcgraws site and read his 10 relationship values.
http://www.oprah.com/phil/rescue/phil_rescue_value.html
See you again on the EN forum...
