In your teachings, you indicate the best thing for recovery of the marriage is for the 3rd party to be gone forever BUT in my situation, my husband made a child with this woman so the contact is there because of the child. This allows the ex-lover, to inflict her anger, etc. on my husband because she is scorned that he did not end up leaving me for her and she "keeps him down" by constantly reminding him of how "HE" ruined her life and therefore he is consumed with guilt and depression. I see it as a barrier to our recovery and wonder what would help?

I'm so sorry you had to find this site in such a way, there is such a wealth of information here for you to cope and rebuild your marriage. In regards to your particular situation, there is a wonderful group of people here at MB, on the "Pregnancy/Child" board. That specific board pertains to both WS and BS who's lives have been affected by infidelity resulting in a child being born. <P>Good luck to you,<BR>Trace
