Hi guys.
As you know WH and I have been on good terms. I don't know if we'll recover and OK if we don't. Divorce is in process. I've forgiven him and am no longer angry.
He has expressed that he's having doubts and hinting that he may want to come back. BUT, Actions speak louder that Words. So actually nothing's changed.
I've kind explained how I felt about what his words and doubted the sincerity of his words. And I commented about how I don't even have his Cell # (he had it changed after we had this huge fight and it comes out on the caller ID as "PRIVATE".)And commented about other things that he hasn't done to prove that he's even thinking about wanting to work things out.
Well here's a question.
My son had been sick with a horrible dry cough. He woke up Saturday night coughing, chills, fever and weezing. I thought I was going to have to take him to the hospital but it passed and he was ok.
Well the next day, my WH called and asked how our S was and I explained what had happened on Saturday night. And told him that I thought I would have to take him to the hospital.
Well he then says, "I'm gonna give you my cell number, BUT only call me if it's an emergency." I wrote it down on a piece of paper, not really wanting it but, wrote it anyway.
I folded it up, haven't looked at it. I haven't memorized it. Acctually I don't want it, with restrictions! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
What do I do, if anything?
Do I just keep it and put it away in case of emergency?
Do I just throw it away?
Do I tell him that I don't want it unless it's without restrictions?
Do I do anything about it or say anything about it at all?

Wow and I thought I was bad off not even having the address of where my WW moved out to.
I would keep it just for that, emergencies.
What do I do, if anything? You don't have to do anything. Take it as a positive sign.
Do I just keep it and put it away in case of emergency? I'd put it out of sight, out of mind but make sure you know where
Do I just throw it away? Nope, what if you really needed to get a hold of him fast?
Do I tell him that I don't want it unless it's without restrictions? Would that qualify as a selfish demand?
Do I do anything about it or say anything about it at all? I don't see any benefit to saying anything about it, do you?

Thanks for you reply Eduard!
I thought it was a good sign also when he said he was gonna give me his cell number but then he says ONLY call me if it's an emergency.
I was kind of disappointed! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />
You know what I mean. I know he doesn't want OW to know I have it! That just makes me MAD!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" />

My question to you, is first of all. What was the history of you calling him? Did you call him alot? Did you call him during work, out, etc.? If so, then I can completely agree with him about the restrictions.
While I don't take sides with WH, the problem with being called when you do not want to be is something that I can understand. I try to NEVER give out my cell phone number, because it is such a hassle. I give out my pager number, because it allows me to have the ability to first of all screen who is calling me and second, choose when I have the time and inclination to return the call.
If you 'hassled' him, even if only in his eyes via the phone. I can understand his trepidation. The fact is however, that you cannot do anything about it other than take it. He gave it to you so that you would be able to contact him in an emergency about his son. That is all. He would not have given it to you to call him about questions, concerns, or just to say Hi.
So, I guess what I think is that you respect his decision. If you feel that it is limiting, realize that he didn't have to give it at all, and that he only did it for your boy. You can't have everything on this, and I personally think that his request is reasonable.
I hope this doesn't sound harshly written, that is not at all the way I am meaning it.

Thanks for you HONESTY FC!
And I guess at times I did HASSALE him. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> So in a way I see your point.
I see a positive and a negative.
+ He's trusting me enough to give me his cell number.
- He's reason for only restricting me to call him during an emergency is because he doesn't want OW to know I have his cell number! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" />
I know this sound stupid but I'm just mad. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
