Found out a few weeks back that the guy my wife had/having an affair with and left me for is a preacher at our former church and is STILL married (2 yrs after D day). I feel like I should tell my former pastor because what my EX is doing and what her BF are doing is horrible, but part of me says just let it go and GOD will take care of it. My EXs BF even preaches sometimes still at their church.....what hyporcrites!!!!
What should I do???

Do you have evidence? If so, here is what I would do. Give OM a choice. Share with him that you have evidence of the affair, and you are following Matthew 18:15-20

quote:
A Brother Who Sins Against You
15"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' 17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 18"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Share with him that you are following the first part, that you are going to him man to man, and that you want him to end the relationship and make a full confession. If he does not, you are Biblically required to involve more people as the scripture clearly says.
This is not a threat, but rather the way that God asks us to resolve these issues.
Make sure that you are doing this, not to punish him, but to help in overcome his sin and to grow closer with God.
If you are just mad at him and want him to suffer, then pray for him and pray for your own healing.
Tony

I knew she was involved with someone from our former church for 2yrs, she just hid who it was from me. Well, my daughter unintentionally blurted out his real name (not the phony one she was told to say).......and on the very same day I received a letter addressed to both of them in my mail. All of this happened 2yrs after not knowing who this guy was and it happened on the same day within 2 hours of each other. I have a feeling god had alot to do with that also. Anyhow, I think I will just keep my pie hole shut and let them destroy each others lives even more.
PS. I heard from my EXs brother that this guy and my EX have been called into the Pastor of the churches office over a year ago because someone in the church saw them out together. They basically just went more undercover with their relationship. [ June 29, 2004, 07:02 AM: Message edited by: StartinOver ]
