Hello,
My wife told me today that she wanted to get a divorce. I have been married 2 years and this is now the second time this has happened to me. About 10 months into the marriage she asked me for a divorce and to leave our apartment. I was not working at the time and that made me lose all respect for myself and our finances. We argued alot and that sunk the boat. I left the apartment willing and thought Id never see her again. However after 5 months of phone arguing I was able to talk her into finally meeting me and trying to start new. It worked so it seemed. Well now lets forward 1 year and some odd months later. Through the last year I have been hard working, rebuilding our finances and paying off all of our debt to make sure we have a future together. I never returned to the apartment though and have been living on my own since I originally left the apartment. I thought everything was going great. Slow but Great. I was wrong, dead wrong. It seems that my wife is still bitter and says she does love me anymore. We are both young, Im 28 shes 26. We were just about to move back in and start our life over when this happened today. I tried talking to her and reasoning with her but nothing seemed to work but one thing. She says shes been seeing someone else and was not going to give me another chance at this marriage. She said she cared for me so deeply but wouldnt answer me when I said I loved her. I asked her if she cared for me so much to give me another chance or as I like to call it, chance number 2. Its terrible I know. After some more phone arguing tonight she said she would need a few days to think this out. I had no other choice but to accept this. Sadly i dont know what to do now. I am praying alot to GOD and I thankfully have my parents to talk with. My parents have been married 40 years so they give good advice. I am really messed up over this. I thought this last year we were doing great. She said I should have seen the signs. I trusted her and she betrayed me but said its not adultery because we are seperated. I am willing to forgive her and start anew again, but I am forced to wait to see what she says and wants. I cannot believe this is happening to me again. She insists that it was not my fault (this time) and I understand that, but I dont know what to do in these next few days to prepare for all of this. She said she would call me in a few days when she sorted all this out. She said she would be praying to God and she would get back to me. I am really hurt and messed up right now. I dont know what to do at all. Should I get a marriage counselor involved or make an appointment? Is there anything I can do to help her in her decision? I have been with her for 8, going on 9 years and this is it for us. Its make it or break it time. I want to be with her forever but I am unsure of the outcome when she calls me. I need some advice or help with this and fast. I dont know what i can do to win her back and convince her to give our marriage another chance. Anybody please help??? I love her and cannot let this happen, she is my best friend and I miss her so much....

Welcome to marriagebuilders. It is a great place to be under the circumstances.

Start in Plan A. You can read all about it on the link in my sig. line. It is difficult to do at first, but does get easier.

There are tons of men going through the same thing you are here. Hope you will keep reading and posting here.
