Today's my birthday, and my luck is changing. Recently, my mother's husband's first son died, my father's wife's son entered a long in-paitent drug treatment center, my marriage counseling is sending my bonkers, and one of my good friends found a lump.
That all happened starting January 24.
The first bit of good news came on Friday, my friend "Ann without an E" got a clean bill of health.
Next, we got through the memorial service for my step-dad's son.
So, I think things are improving.
And I sing Happy Birthday to ME!

AD, I'm officially 38. Personally, I imagine that any birthday under 105 is reason to celebrate and be happy. After all, another birthday is much better than the alternative.

Well, we've had a beautiful April-esque day for my birthday. YD says God made the clouds go away for my birthday. And my cattylia hybrid orchid bloomed today!!!!!
Thanks everyone for b-day wishes.
I'm making sea scallops, veal chops, green beans, cheese souffle, salad and a roulade cake for dessert. My mother's husband's 60th is coming up and they'll be away so it's a joint celebration.

I think I heard rustlings about a birthday party over in the kingdom.
It's a good thing I learned to keep the special "balloons" securely locked in my chamber. That Jester could do a seriously embarassing job when left in charge of the decorations. Once, he humiliated the entire court when allowed to decorate for an important state function. And he left me with no gift for the Diplomat from the Far Kingdom.
Nonetheless, I hear there is Italian Cream Cake and homemade ice cream to be had at the party. Along with dancing and merrimaking. The minstrels shall arrive soon. If they are detained, Sir Harold shall spin some tunes.

Well, I hope to have lots of Serendipity! Right now, he's sitting on top of the monitor like a king. Serendipity is the name of my cat who has the same birthday as me. He's an Abyssinian and quite regal. He also likes to escapet the house and catch birds. He turns his nose up at the common field mouse or mole. Not quite enough challenge. Needless to say, I frown on killing song birds.
I hope for the other kind of serendipity was well.
