Hi Catnip! It sounds like things are going well at your house [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I just read your post from a couple of days ago where you mentioned filing an Alienation of Affection suit in Texas. Well, guess what? That's where the OW is in my case, too. Would you mind letting me know what it's all about? I would love to fight right by your side on this one!
Thanks!

Andi:
Welcome aboard...grateful to have your support.
From what I have gathered thus far is that one must be divorced in order to sue the OW for alienation of affection. My divorce will be final in about 120 days and that is when I will fly to Texas and begin proceedings against the OW. I am going to do this. I really am.
I have nothing to loose and she has taken the most precious things in my life from me and continued to wreak havoc on me and on my husband and in our lives and, I ain't gonna take it anymore.

My goal in life is to become the Poster Girl for Every OW's Worst Nightmare.
I want to take it all to the limit in every area. I plan on lobbying for fair and just support laws and camp out in DC, if I have to. Bystander and I plan to write a book about the events of the past two years in the hope that it might help others, perhaps be a catalyst to help change existing laws.
Our shared 'plight' needs and deserves some consideration and the focus and empathy should be redirected from the OW/OC to the family of origin; at least have fair and just laws implemented. This may end up to be an act in futility, however, I am hoping that we will find a way of protecting ourselves from the powers that be.
I am so disappointed at the turn of events in my life, in your lives that I am going to make a lot of noise and I don't care what it takes, it's all going to happen somehow.
Thanks for letting me know I can count on you for back up.
As soon as the divorce is final, I will begin the proceedings and start writing letters. Maybe I don't have to wait on the letter writing to our congressmen and neither do you. I encourage each of you to find out who your representatives are and write them letters about the unjust and unfair system that is denying your family of reasonable support orders and that the laws today are creating hardship for your family. I guess we have to begin somewhere.
Catnip =^^=
[This message has been edited by catnip (edited July 21, 2000).]
[This message has been edited by catnip (edited July 21, 2000).]

Catnip
I am not in texas,I am not in a state that supports AOA. I'm not even divorced (hopefully I won't be ) but I would stand behind you 100%. I think these people need to be stopped !!! Who do they think they are? They do wreak havoc on so many lives.
They are theives, common criminals and they should be punished as such. You go girl. We all need to take a stand. I would love to publicly exploit my H's OW. Her husband has no CLUE... Why shouldn't he? No one she loves has been affected, she protected herself. I wish I could say the same for our children, they weren't protected.
Catplay

I think the OW is in a state that allows it as well but I have to be Divorced as well. They also told me that if the oW files Bankruptcy you have no case.
I will Lobby with ANYBODY about this issues as well, I will write letters, sign letters whatever it takes for somebody to hear us! I the DC is out of control and they are not helping the legal side and the legal children, they do not care if you or I starve or our children starve as long as the OC get money!
I am so for it!
fambis

Catnip, you are lucky to be able to do this. Tennessee struck their laws on this off the books a few years ago. No outlet available for principle & example, much less morality. But I received a flyer in the mail today concerning election of new judge & other officials. I am taking all their names & writing letters. And when you write the book, if you need to cite other references, call me!
Carolyn
