This is something I just felt the need to share. I had fallen asleep on the couch, and hadn't put the kids to bed yet. My daughter came out of her room at about 9:30 and woke me up. I asked her what she was still doing up, and this was her response, "I couldn't go to sleep because you hadn't prayed with me yet." Some of you may be asking, "where's the wisdom in that?" Well, we usually don't do anything special for night time prayers, just sort of the same routine every night, thanking God for the day, and asking Him to help the kids have a good and restful night, to wake "refreshed and happy" in the morning. I guess what I am getting at is this, if an 8 yr. old can believe in such a simple prayer, that is said over and over each night they are put to bed, then don't you think that God can hear our prayers, and answer them? Maybe we need to be looking for the simple answers that an 8 yr. old understands, instead of looking for the complicated ones that only brain surgeons can figure out. Remember this, we are CHILDREN of God, and as such, if we go to God with a child like spirit, we will be treated as His child.
Just some food for thought that I felt compelled to share.
Tigger

Amen,Tigger. Prayer has brought me to where I am today. I always prayed before but in such a selfish way.
I pray for peace and for God to show me the right path to go. I ask to heal my heart too. Not that I should be the same...but accepting of my life.
Sometimes I feel guilty with all the horror of the world that I should burden Him w/my little problem. He sees my mind though and will show me the way.
My biggest prayer is for a miracle. I want that more than ever. That's where the "peace" will come from. If there is no C to worry about...my son and H and I will have peace.
Debi
------------------
Imagine....
[This message has been edited by gemini1 (edited February 16, 2001).]
