My h has a court date next month (2nd one) and he got a job offer in another city starting in 2 weeks. I have been wanting to move since we "found out" and we now have our chance. Does anyone know if he will have to come here for the court date? or if they do something else? I don't want to miss this oppurtunity to start over somewhere new, but I don't want my h to get in trouble for leaving the city. We have no idea on any of this, can't afford an attorney, and he "makes too much" (ha) to receive financial help. That one I do not understand.

Dear jessry,
I don't know. In our case, h had to drive 2 hours to go to court for a long time because nobody would transfer the case. We just now got a change of venue. You should probably call the courthouse and ask somebody.
Although moving always makes this stuff more complicated courtwise, I think it's great that you and h are moving so you can start over away from ow. We did the same thing and it was wonderful
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
cdcollins
