One of you ladies just quit smoking. I cant remember who it was. Me and h decided yesterday that we would both quit. So far so good. Let me know some ideas to help us stick to this. It does seem better that we are both working together at this now as long as we dont kill each other. he he he just kidding. We figured out what we spend a month and its enough to pay the house payment.Whew just think of all the flowers I can buy. with love flowerseed
[This message has been edited by flowerseed (edited April 17, 2001).]

hi flowerseed, it wasn't me that quit smoking, but i am proud of you!! i used to smoke till i was 20. i quit when i got married. it was a deal i made with hubby. but i had only smoked for a year and it wasn't that hard for me. my sister just quit, and my dad and stepmom still smoke. i actually will smoke when i am stressed, though it makes me sick. i found you a link. scroll down to the bottom for lots of articles and resources. hope it helps. good luck.
happy_girl
http://www.quitsmokingsupport.com/intro.htm

Hi Flowerseed, Yes you do have a good memory it was and is me who was talking about quiting smoking. I think I mentioned it in the chat room a month or two back. I quit in Feb. with my husband as you and your husband are doing. We,, however did it for health reasons. My h had spinal surgery on Feb. 6, the neurosurgeon, highly recommended that he quit, because it would help him heal better. We both went on zyban. It is a antidepressant so I am happier than I used to be, and I have not had a cig. since the second week in Feb. Good luck and if you need anything just let me know. Try the zyban, or it is also know as welbutrin. Gabi1116
[This message has been edited by gabi1116 (edited April 17, 2001).]

Happy,
thanks I'll check that out.
gabi,
Is the zyban something you have to get from the doc. We just up and quit we havent been taking anything. I do notice it does not take anything much to set each other off. I feel calmer today. No thoughts of choking hubby to death yet. I'm going to check the site happy mentioned. with love floweseed

Flowerseed, Yes it is a prescription, but it really works, we have not tried to kill each other once in three months. Good luck, Gabi1116

gabi,
Well we have made it now 3 days we are playing nice now. I really think we can do this without the meds. If I can get thru what I have been thru without any med this should be a breeze. I have a question were you guys hungry all the time? If we keep this up we are both going to turn into Bertha big butts. If so how long did it last? I am going to let myself pig out till the end of this week then that is it. Maybe if we munch on apples that would help. with love flowerseed

Oh, we have both put on a few or more like quite a few pounds. I figure it is the least we can pay to get our health back. The warm weather is here soon and I will be out walking everyday. It will come off in no time. My h sweats tons off in the summer he works outside so he will be fine too. But to answer your question, yes we are eating like piggies. Gabi1116
