I liked Flowerseed's post so much about hubby's being great daddys I thought Id interject why my Hubby is such a wonderful H and person.
My H is a restaurant manager...hes just been out of training for 2 weeks. They are a 24 hour store and last night a homeless man, his wife, and 2 children came in. The man asked my H if he could do some work for some food for his family. My H told him "no". Instead he had him save his energy and sit down. My H fed the whole family. He later told his General Manager what he had done and told him he could take it out of his check. Surprisingly the GM told him that it was nice to know H had a heart and told him not to worry about it. It made me proud to be able to say he is my H. It just really struck a place in my heart he hadnt struck in a while and I wanted to share it with all of yall.
Love and Prayers
bw

[This message has been edited by broken_wings (edited April 20, 2001).]

Zebrababy, are you married to my hubbie?!?!?!
backround info:
we have always joked with each other..
he sited many times that he "had to learn things the hard way" (trouble as a teen, stuff like that)
for at least a week after d-day we had long nightly discussions about 'things' and once to release the tensions I quipped "are you done f***ing up now?" he said that he sure hopes so. another sign that there was still love, there was still humor.
REASONS HUBBIE IS SO WONDERFUL
(I actually had made this list into a framed artwork for his bday last month)
-----------------------------------
-Your beautiful blue eyes
-You wear boxers-not briefs
-You are a few degrees warmer
-You like cartoons as much as I do
-Your strong comforting arms
-You call when you are you are on your way home (post d-day (or 'new marriage' as we call it) habit)
-You know when I need to be tickled
-You bring home little gifts for me (from those claw machines in arcades, he has one at work--one cost him $10 in tries))
-Your cute butt
-You absolutely adore our children
-Your children absolutely adore you
-You like MY butt
-You are more intelligent than you realize
-You know when I need a card
-Your gorgeous smile
-You know how to be a kid
-You put the seat down when I am waiting
-Your extreme patience (not one of my better qualities)
-You know when I need flowers
-You can make me laugh even when I am mad at you
-You support me
-You (finially) will let me support you
-You know when to say I look pretty
-You still give me butterflies in my tummy
-You more sensitive than I realize ('new marriage' discovery)
-You know when I need YOU
-You know me
-You love me
---------------------------
He said it was the best gift he'd ever recieved. I wish I'd done this long ago. With his bad habits always brought up, he actually thought there was nothing I liked about him.

[This message has been edited by DumbStruck (edited April 21, 2001).]

My h also is a great guy who made a bad choice.
I agree with Zebrababy that he is improving with
age!!!
I loved everybody's lists!
My h races home to see me everyday...
Wakes up in the middle of the night to tell me
how much he loves me...
He helps me with every aspect of caring for our
children...
He has changed completly from a confirmed bachelor
to a loving, committed husband and doting father.
He actually enjoys all of our time together, crying
babies, dirty floors, me still in my pj's at 4pm on
a bad day...
makes me tea when i have a headache...
planted 15 pine trees when i mentioned "we could use
some trees around here"...
but most of all I can see how much I mean to him
when I look in his eyes. I know now that we will
make it in good times and in bad...
Thank you Broken Wings, for bringing up what makes
our husbands so great. I want to go wake my h up and
show him how much I love him... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
