I'm curious as to who has been in this the longest. I don't mean who has been HERE the longest, but who is the most years past D-day. Although I can't remember the exact day of discovery, in late July/early August it will be five years since I found out about the affair, and in October, it will be five years since starting in recovery. OC will be four on June 14. Anybody been in this longer/have an older oc?
-cd

I think you and Heavenly (and perhaps Jenny) share title for the longest 'awareness' since D-Day. Mine is just over 2.5 years. I've been on the Forum since May of 99...coming up on my two year anniversary as a MB Forum member. Someone get me a cake.
Catnip =^^=

I can honestly say I wish it was 12 years ago and I wish I had for gotton it had ever happened. D-day for me was 2 years ago in April. Oc will be 2 in Oct. and I have only known about this board around a year. Man do I wish I had known about this since day one. What a God sent this has been.
Love
bw

I am a newbie. Dday was the third week of September, 2000.
H had lied about a business trip for a week. She and OC joined him. He took pictures of them and left them on the computer (in a place he thought I would never look. He just forgot that Adobe Photoshop opens back up to the last directory you looked at photos in. OC is just one year old this month.
Mrs. Job

Why, thank you, Jenny....your two year MB birthday must have been just this last winter, n'est pas? You were my first friend here and held my hand guiding me through my nightmare when I was raw, wounded and bleeding. You and your support was instrumental in my healing. Thank you, Jen.
Love
Catnip =^^=

catnip,
I've only got 2 months over you in MB time! And yes Lynton, Her Royal Catnip (can we elect you kitty-something?) was instrumental to getting us our own board: Three Cheers For Catnip! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) Hip Hip Hooray! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
See CD, you're winning in recovery time, by a nose.

I have been in recovery since Jan 94. I learned of affair in April '93, while pregnant. He never moved out said he wanted to stay with me. I accepted that our marriage was in recovery in Jan'94. He set up a special get away for us on our anniversary. Then in April of '94, I learned of other child who was born day before our anniversary, 4 Jan, (she was born on 3 Jan '94).
We are still together and never have had contactwith OC. I came to this site in May '99 I think. We have been married for 27 years now, sometimes I wonder if I should discount those months that he was in LaLa Land. What do ya'll think?
This site has been a boon to me and I hang out daily even thought I do not always post.
Texasgirl

Thanks, I think ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) What do I win, the Booby prize, right?
It hasn't been easy, but it has been worth it and the biggest prize has been seeing my kids see that marriages are created and do not just happen. They are 24,23,19,13, and 7, they are wonderful and they would not have grown this way if I had bailed or let him bail.
If I ask him if he is glad we are together, he says he wishes he could undo the wrong things he did, and wipe away all the pain he caused me during that time.
The key is perserverance and stubbornness, and my streak of stubborn is the size of the GREAT STATE. I hate to lose ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) and what I would have lost is MY family. I realise that sometimes you have to let go, but I didn't and it has paid off. I believe in marriage, how about everyone else?
Thank you for posting today. You give us newbies hope for our marriages. I'm determined to make mine better that what it was and I believe it will be better than what it could have been without A-that is of course when temporary insanity doesn't over take my body ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif) !
I'm going on 3 mo since finding out about A and birth of OC on my B-Day (I hope I'll stop emphasizing that some day). A was almost 1 yr ago. I really don't want to think about that because our anniversary is also coming up. Any way, I digress. ivc
