I've been away from the computer for a few days, and I just wanted to give a quick update:
THE GOOD:
1.we passed our home inspection by C&Y with flying colors - that's a load off my mind. The only remotely unsafe thing that they found was a broken lightswitch cover, which I hadn't even noticed. Otherwise, our house looked great to them.
2.H called oc on her birthday and got to talk to her for a minute, but she was opening presents and so I didn't force her to stay on the phone to talk to me.
3. Our lawyer says that the way things are going, he sees joint custody or full custody within a year.
4. The dependency hearing is to take place on Monday (a week from today), so we'll find out more about what the court has in mind then.
THE BAD:
1. We didn't get the unsupervised father's day visit - C&Y didn't have time to get approval for it, so we'll just have to wait until this coming sunday for our regular visit.
THE UGLY:
1. Found out that ow was in a very serious car accident (oc was not with her at the time, thank God) - her car was completely sandwiched between two other cars- totalled her car - and she walked away with nary a scratch! I KNOW that it is wrong to harbor fantasies of her dying a violent death, but REALLY! Are these women invincible or what?
Well, that's the latest. I'll be busy the next week with work projects, but I'll be popping in now and then to see how everybody's doing.
Much love,
cd

Dear Mrs. J,
I'm half tempted to try that combination - up until now, my best plan was to throw a bucket of water on her to see if she would "melt" like the other bad witches do.
I haven't done it so far because I understand there are laws against contaminating the water supply. Don't want Captain Planet breathing down my neck...
-cd

cd:
Only the good die young...per Billy Joel.
The OW's are indestructable and the courts protect their sorry butts. For some reason, it appears you have been fortunate enough to have found the last bastion of justice in this new world where right is wrong and wrong is absolved and protected from consequences. Be glad you live in rural PA where liberty and justice was born and where it hasn't been entirely forgotten. Whether you played the system well or justice did prevail for once is a moot point since today all that seems to matter is the end justifying the means. In our cases, that is a 'twilight zone' kind of justice...and we should take what we can get.
I shouldn't write anything before my morning coffee...
Catnip >^..^<

CD,
Sorry I didn't post earlier. Abbi is just now starting to amuse herself, so I have been trying to get the house in some sort of order. It's not going to happen, cause of the other two kids [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Anyway, I just wanted to say, "Way to go!!!!!!!" I knew that things would continue to go well with you and H! I will continue to pray that this child is given a life in which you and H can make a difference for her. Darling is a very lucky little girl to have someone love her as you and H do. Keep up the good work, and you will continue to be rewarded!
Love,
Tigger

CD;
Congratulations! Sounds like things are going your way, as they should!
Hon, just be careful about bad thoughts, eh? Someone on this board has a sign off about "vengeance is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die". You seem like a very nice, caring person, don't waste all that good energy in you even worrying about the OW. Concentrate on the good you will do for this lucky child, and enjoying your marriage!
All my prayers are with you, CD, you go girl!!
Natalie
