I'm not sure what the deal is here...I have been paying the CS faithfully as per the agreement that OW and H settled out of court. Our atty's paralegal explain to OW that I am the contact person, in writing, to our P.O. box for addy changes (if she moves so we can send her the $$$) and questions about insurance. <p>I am beginning to wonder if she really needed the money at all...why??? Well.....I have been mailing the checks to her certified mail, return receipt to prove that we mailed it and that she received it. (It's money after all...MY money) and to cover our butts so she can't try to pull anything....<p>SO....what's the problem??? The last check I sent a little early so she could get it in time and it's still unclaimed at the Post Office...yet OW will call our Atty. and ask where the money is and why she didn't get it...(Not the brightest crayon in the box, is she?)<p>My H says we did what we were supposed to do and that it's her problem if she doesn't want to go to the corner and pick up her check that she needs to sign for.<p>H and I talked about the possibility that she is playing games and wants him to personally drop it off to her...NOT GONNA HAPPEN. My H don't want to, and will not do it. He says that the US postal service is good enough for us. I agree since our ATTY and H and OW thought that it would save everyone a few extra bucks to keep the courts from handling it...but it's shown to me to be a pain in the butt....<p>I'm not saying that this bothers me...I'm just wondering what the heck??? Apparently, she does not need that money bad enough...and that makes me wonder...anyone else have a take on this? I will leave her alone as long as she leaves me alone, but wondered what else can I do? I am toying with mailing a letter to her myself--again-explaining how we are doing this...
1. we mail the check certified, return receipt
2. you (ow) get notice in your mailbox
3. Don't ignore it...it means you go to the P.O. to pick up your "much needed money" to support OC.
4. Pick up Check
5. Cash it
6. Spend it
7. The process starts all over again two weeks from now.<p>That chick better face the fact that it's going to be this way.*sigh* why do I even care?<p>LOL......we did what we were supposed to.

You have done everything you were supposed to do...now the ball is in her court...no pun intended.<p>However, she might not be smart enough (anyone who doesn't use birth control when shagging a MM...need I say more?) to understand the certified mail process...she might think it is a bill collector or a nasty gram or maybe she is waiting for Ed McMahon thinking she's won the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes and is just waiting for the van to pull up. ark, ark, pun intended.<p>Catnip =^^=
