Hello one and all,
I decided to slither in from my hiatus from the board to share some awesome news from the life of The Zebra.
Last week I was interviewed and offered a HUGE promotion at my company's corporate offices.
I accepted that position on Thursday and will be re-locating to the North East. (I'm being vauge so as to not share publicly the city we are relocating to. I'll share details off boards with those of you close to me.)
Anyway ... the promotion is a biggie. Comes with a great package and lots of cool perks. Flying in the corporate jet occassionally being one of them. Toooooo Coooooool.
I'm heading up in a couple of weeks and hubby and the kids will follow after the sale of our house and the school sememster is over.
I'm scared as heck, but thrilled at the same time.
I just want to tell EVERYONE here ... prayer works.
Speaking of prayer .. If I could take a moment to share a testimony of faith.
Money was super duper tight a few weeks ago and Hubby found himself $500 short of his weekly obligations. He went to cash his paycheck at a local bank and on a humbug picked up one of those blank withdrawl slips they have laying around. He took it out to the car. Wrote his name on the slip and prayed over it. The VERY NEXT DAY in the mail was a plain white envelope, postmarked locally with yesterday's date, no return address. Inside was a $500 bank money order, drawn on the bank my H visited the day before and it was made out to him.
We have no idea where the money came from or what human being was God's tool. All we know is our faithful Father took care of us AGAIN. He continues to work wonders in my life and my marriage and I am so grateful for it.
Those who know me, know I'm not a religious fanatic, but I have huge faith that gets confirmed on a regular basis these days. I can't help but spread the Good News.
I continue to pray for my friends here at MB. So very many of you are dear to me. I do find that I think less of my life back then when I don't visit as often. For not being here for you, I am sorry.
Please know that I do check in periodically and catch up on reading. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, just start a thread and holler my name. I'll see it eventually!
Twiisty, I did see your Sally Hansen post. And laughed hysterically.
Ok, now for my bad news update. My 33 year old cousin who I adore and grew up with like a sister had a double masectomy last year ... has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Her prognosis is not good. We continue to pray for her cancer to go into remission or leave her body completely. The cancer is fast spreading and currently in her skull, spine, chest and legs. She's just begun chemotherapy again after finishing radiation and in early April will be heading to a cancer clinic in Texas for treatment to proglong life. Within weeks she has gone from a vibrant young woman to a woman in pain who cannot walk without the assistance of a walker.
Please take a moment tonight and say a prayer for her and our family.
God Bless One and All, Z.

Z Baby!
I didn't know whether to do a smiley, thumbs up, or sad face for my reply!
Congrats on your promotion! I know that you will do wonders for the company! And, your home will sell in the perfect timing, and your family can be reunited soon!
Also, Praise God for His wonderful works! Isn't it amazing what happens when you put your trust in Him?!?!
As for your cousin, I will definately pray for her! It reminds me of my grandmother! She died when I was 5, but it had started as breast cancer that spread to bone cancer. Now, this was almost 29 years ago, and they have come a long way in the medical field since then! I will pray for your cousin and the whole family!
Again, congrats on the promotion!
Love ya,
Tigger
