just wanted to know if any of you,BS, are celebrating this day with OC and H?
As for us, this is our first whole weekend (friday night to sunday) having OC with us. H has been very excited this last wwk or so, and so have I. The Ow, sent a gift with OC, and i got H two gifts, one from OC and one from my childern(17,20,26 and 1y/o grandson-they think the world of H and the OC,not to happy about the A,but they see how i'm handling it, and are doing what they can to deal.they are wonderful!)
well, anyway i just wanted to see, what and how everyone are doing. so far things are great, OW not handling it well, but who care, she had the nerve to ask H, if they would be able to take him out to dinner for FD, of course he said no way, i said, sue=re as long as i go with them, HA! HA!.
i hope everyone has a wonderful day. Please keep your chins up, we all have made it this far, and we can see it through the end.

D__________,

Sounds like you are handling FD very well indeed. I hope that the little gremlins will not start running around your home after the OC leaves. Your H is with you and happy, don't let anything spoil that.

It's great that your kids are accepting the OC. But, as you said, they take their lead from the parents in most cases.

My FD was not such a happy one (I wrote a separate post on it). But, I am glad that at least one MBer was finding the day not too awful.

Well, in my situation Father's Day was also the OC's first birthday. What a roller coaster of feelings I went through! I had bought a gift for the OC and for my ex-WS. He left a message on my answering machine while I was out shopping. Said he'd call back in a little bit. He never did. This is the man who wants to reconcile. I don't get it sometimes! But, hey... I survived and am here to tell the story! Not all bad on my part!! Hope others survived okay.
