Hi.
My husband is coming home from his trip on Saturday.
I have been busy doing activities with female friends. I've talked on the phone to family members so much that my ear hurts. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] I've spent lots of time "lurking" here and reading posts. No, I haven't been "ambushed" again by the other man.
Obviously, I won't just blurt out my affair to my husband when he comes home on Saturday (what a welcome home gift THAT would be). In the next week as we continue to talk about our marriage, I will reveal the affair and my struggles to him. I DREAD it, but it's the right decision.
I really do feel at peace. Deep down, I feel that my husband is thinking of me and missing me, just as I am thinking of him and missing him. I feel that when he comes home from his trip, we will have a FRESH start and a new determination to re-build our marriage.
Jill

All right Jill ! You are doing well. And I agree it would be a bummer to hit him with news first thing when he gets home.
When you do tell remember that it's going to be new to him, while you have stopped the affair and made your decision, he will be starting from scratch. If he has questions, answer them. If he has anger try to understand it. If he has pain ( and we both know he will) comfort him as much as he will allow you to.
Prayers going up for you.
------------------
Just call me - Deb
------------------------
The only day I can do anything about is today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet mine.

Thanks for holding yourself accountable - you should be the MB model for WSs.
I hope your husband reacts calmly. Do you need to have someone on hand? A friend or pastor?
Some posters here don't like the idea of having their spouse invade their "safe spot" here on the MB board. But there are a few couples here too. If you are comfortable with the idea, consider suggesting at some point that your H come here to read (especially your posts which so eloquently speak of your devotion), and even to post. He would be warmly welcomed, and we can provide plenty of perspective to help him through this.
Good luck. Keep us informed. God bless you.

Jill,
Did you consider my suggestion on your other post about printing some of your threads out so that your H can see how you have dealt with all of this. There is so much here that explains the depths of your feelings and hurt, that I suspect would really help him understand this situation much better.
You are doing well, keep it up.
God Bless,
JL

Jill,
Good for you for remaining so strong.
I am going to make a request to you. On the day before you expose your affair to your H please post that you will be doing it so I can light a special prayer candle for you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
------------------
Love and Prayers
Nicole smile
