A friend of mine has been with his girlfriend for over four years. They don't live together, see each other as often as they can. But he has been struggling with the relationship for a while, because she frequently refuses to meet his need for physical affection.
She will be affectionate in public and around other people, but "pushes him away" when they are alone together. She has also been talking about men she works with - about how great they are, how nice they are - yet barely says thank you for any of the things he does for her. He is feeling hurt about that and frustrated by the lack of physical affection.
So, very recently, he cheated on her to have those needs met. And he feels terrible about it...
This is a true story - not too exciting, but true. And the likelihood of him leaving the relationship is pretty high... He doesn't like deception, but he is not tied by marriage, so he can leave the relationship much more easily than a married man can do.
::shaking head::
saddd.
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

OR about how to change things, etc.?
Wonder why she is acting this way? Think there is some need she's not having met?
Both need some communication skill enhancement, huh?
I really do think that this stuff should be part of a school curriculum....forget sex ed.....people pick that up pretty well!!!! This is the stuff that is needed most!!!
HUGS,
Sheba
