I haven't posted for quite a while. I have been busy settling the kids into new schools and beginning a degree course myself. Our new house is nearly ready and things are really lookin up.
I thought I was going along okay but certain things just seem to creep up on me. It is my birthday(1st since we separated) tomorrow and I am dreading it. I really wish I could just stay in bed all day but of course that is not an option.
Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with these difficult times.

Annie H,
Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time, we all have them and this is a great place to come to when we're feeling low. How long have you been separated?
First, I hope you have a great birthday tomorrow and treat yourself to something grand, you deserve it.
I don't have any great advice, as I often find myself in the very same predicament.
1)I allow myself a good cry in the shower where no one can see or hear me. I usually feel better after that.
2)Another thing is to get out of the house if you can, go for a ride, visit the zoo, whatever, just don't stay at home when you're feeling down.
3)Call a friend, hang out, take in a movie, get your hair done, do a makeover!
4) I read a lot of the Harvey books.
5) Prayer and meditation helps, too.
My prayers and thoughts are with you, MT
