As if preparing for H to leave this week isn't enough, last night I found a lump in my armpit. Since I have a history of breast ca, I had a panic attack, cried all AM, thought about dieing and how that would make OW so happy, and proabably my H too. When I called the nurse and she asked me if I had any family I cried all the harder and said no, I am all alone. Even though H was asleep in the other bedroom.
They think it is probably an ingrown hair, so I would appricaite any prayers for that. I don't think I could handle breast ca right now. I made my H hug me, but it was a one arm, how can I get this over with type thing. Then he said, well lets wait and see what they say. I know, a reasonable answer, but I just wanted a little holding and comfort. I feel so scared and alone.
Lora

If it is any comfort, I used to be a Pathology secretary - where those type of things are diagnosed - and the majority of the time they are something other than cancer. Also, breast cancers can generally be detected if they are caught early. Emotions really play on us, though, I know. Prayers to you.

Hey everyone, thanks for the prayers and support. I have settled down a little today and don't feel like I am going to die. I will wait and see what happens, but once you have had cnacer, its hard to trust your body not to betray you.
I will scedual a mammogram appointment tomorrow.
Lora
Lora,
Stress does terrible things to our bodies. I've had more peculiar bleeding--including nosebleeds, mouth sores--& joint inflammation (I have rheumatoid arthritis which had been in remission), vomiting, hypertension during this time than I would think possible. I was going to the Dr at least every 3-6 months for something.
Do see the doctor & do regular exercise & proper nutrition. It does help your body deal with the crisis chemicals your brain is sending it.
I'll be praying for you.
------------------
Lor
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
(Proverbs 15:1).
