Carina,
Soooooooo sorry! We were thinking you were just taking a BREAK from us! Which is maybe not too bad a suggestion...just some time to absorb life and discover its joys again. But the wrist...owwwww!
Thanks for your support...What we really want to help these two unprepared kids do is seriously consider adoption. It's a hard thing for them to even consider at this point, but they need to find out all the options and make an informed choice with their eyes wide open...We have a great social service at our disposal that are EXPERTS!!!! in adoption. I certainly hope they will at least find out what goes on there. It used to be that the only reason you gave up a baby was that the dad was going to be non-supportive. Now we understand that adoption can be the best thing for the baby and for the couple, not to mention the appreciative new parents. Had I known these thing 30 years ago, my relationship with X might have been drastically different, and I would not be having mixed emotions about her today. I don't want my D to have to repeat history. But in the end, the choice will be theirs. One thing I need to be cautious of is not to be overbearing in "what I think they need to do" when we are with them.
Carina...Get well soon!
Mayo
