We got back home yesterday from a wonderful weekend in Boston (see my other posts). We had such a good time, I didn't want to come back home. It was almost like it was not reality, it was so wonderful.
H had been there for the entire week for business, so I flew out on Friday morning. He met me at the airport, and we went to our hotel from there. We stayed at a very romantic, out of the way, little hotel that he had picked out. After we arrived, he told me that he really had missed me over the last week, took my face in his hands, and told me that he loved me. It's been almost 2 years since I've heard those words come out of his mouth in that way. Sure, before he started his affair, he would usually say "me, too" if I said it first, but NEVER said it to me first. It was a wonderful moment---one that I've been waiting a long, long time for.....
We really didn't do a whole lot other than walk around, see some of the touristy things of Boston, and enjoy being together. It was very relaxing---exactly what we needed. It's kind of a downer to come back home and realize that reality is still here. Oh well, it always will be. Now I just have to figure out how to purge the memories of the affair from my mind......

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. I'd bottle it in a heartbeat if I could, only I don't know what it is. Faith and prayer are two of the main components, though, that I can assure you.
I'm so glad that I can be an inspiration and encouragement to others. I needed this site for a year before things turned around for me, and I hope that I can help others as much as they have helped me!!
I love and pray for all of you daily.....

Yes, Boston was absolutely gorgeous on Saturday. Perfect for just walking and exploring.....
I am so glad that this gives others the hope that you need to continue fighting for your marriage. It's a long and brutal fight, but well worth it in the end!
