H has basically said that I want something he can't give me, he will never feel the love, the sooner I accept it, the better. I didn't react with anger but I probably reacted incorrectly. I asked him, why can't he give us a chance, why can't he try?? Is this typical? Someone please help me...tell me this is normal during withdrawal. Help me to react the right way for Plan A. I'm really lost.

T, don't pay too much attention, this is big time fog talk, standard WS script. Look in some of [H]'s posts. He said just about the exact same things before he ended up reconciling. There are also some good threads on the WS 'script', search for them and have a look. It's all there, keep your chin up and all the best,

I heard the same thing, plus he wanted a divorce, plus a few more contradictory things "I do love you, but can't be with you"...we've been back together for a year.<P>Hard things to hear. Guard your heart and concentrate on doing Plan A no matter what your spouse says. You can say "I love you and want you for my husband." Be prepared for him to ask "why?", because at that moment, depending on how you are feeling, you may not be able to come up with a reason [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].<P>------------------<BR>Lor<BR>"Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious...think about these things." Thanks so much for your feedback...once again it has saved me and kept me from leaving work and/or calling WH. Sometimes, I can't believe how hard it is to continue.

Yes, it is sooooooo easy to forget that we're not dealing with rational people. Everytime we try to make sense out of what they're saying we end up frustrated.<P>Sometimes I recover from these episodes by remembering that it's senseless to try to talk reason with an addict. Just don't even try to make sense out of their arguments.<P>WAT
