She was apparently very upbeat, talked to family on the phone to confirm her travel plans, etc. and also let her aunt know that she had "big news." Then, she disappears. I have a real problem with men like Condit. He (and Clinton) are predators. They are using their position of power to have affairs with young women. Not that the young women are blameless, but the disparity of power is so great that surely the onus is upon the older man to recognize that engaging in an affair with a starstruck young girl is an abuse? <P>As I said in another post, if we had all found out that Clinton was boffing Denise Rich, people might have been disgusted but not to the degree that they were to find out he was boffing a 21 year old. And, both these men have daughters. Doesn't it occur to them that they wouldn't like some other married old man sleeping with their daughter, so perhaps they ought not to do it themselves? The real victims here, other than, of course, Ms. Levy and her parents who must be suffering beyond belief, are their children and their spouses (if they did not know for some time that they were married to a serial philander and chose to accept it a la Hillary). How horrible to have your father so publicly exposed as a debauched man.<P>JAL

What really frosts me (besides his lying, cheating on his wife, denials, etc.) is that during the Clinton affair, he said that the Pres should just admit his wrongdoing so that the air could be cleared. Looks like ole Gary couldn't take his own advice. Why was his advice good for Clinton but not for him?!?

I don't think she committed suicide. She seemed like too strong a woman to do that. Plus, how do you kill yourself and then hide your own body? <BR>I think Condit offed her because she was pregnant and threatened to expose him and ruin his career. <BR>OR, maybe she killed herself in his apartment and left a suicide note. He comes home and finds her, - reads the suicide note, which has tons of incriminating stuff in it, freaks out because he knows his career will be over, so he destroys the note, and disposes of her body in a moment of panic.<BR><p>[This message has been edited by realitycheck (edited July 09, 2001).]
