What I find truely amazing is how WS react to them. my H was watching the news and made the comment about lieing politcians. I was biting my toungue not to remind him that he was doing a pretty good job of lieng himself for the past 2 years.
Somehow, WS always see themselves as different.
Lora

L:
Yep, welcome to the Fog-Factor.
As for politicians and affairs: why should the occurrence of affairs not be roughly the same (if not greater because of "power") in the political arena? It just mimics what is found in everyday life, alas.
Godspeed,
STL

I know EXACTLY what you mean!
Not long after I asked my H if he was in love with someone else, a couple of his friends dropped by our business and were talking about Clinton. In front of me, KNOWING that I knew he was lying, he told his friends, "Well, if it was me, I'd do exactly what Clinton's doing.....lie, lie, lie." ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/mad.gif)
And then asks me why I don't just believe him! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif)
LC

Hey, Lora, nice to see you back.
You're right about those who have cheated themselves being the most judgmental.
It's said that we hate in others what we hate in ourselves. This may be living proof.

Humm Dazed, interesting observation. My H was maybe dispalying excessive signs of guilt recently, just after this. I agreed with him about the lies when he mentioned it. Maybe he has a little awarness at some level that he was in a very simialar situation, and that has increased his guilt.
Lora
L:
The guilt, et al. can be there and yet the behavior (affair) still remain until the fundamental root cause is addressed, and that seldom has to do with lying.
Godspeed,
STL
