What are everyone’s opinions on whether or not couples should seek counseling while in recovery? I am a BS and would like to try things on our own, but don’t know if that is reasonable. I have seen a counselor and my H has come off and on, but now we have moved and I’m not sure I want to start over with a new one. Besides we are financially strapped because I gave up my career so we could move away from the OW. My H is very uncomfortable with counseling and it is close to being a LB for him.
Opinions please . . .
I'm not sure how long it's been since your d-day... but if you both feel comfortable in laying low... snuggle in, hold eachother, (heck, go take a nice long bath together) and go for it. If you feel as if you need help, then go for help. You are in a new territory, maybe that will help. If not, if either one of you need to talk through a third person, do it! Sometimes it can work wonders, especially now that you are out of the radar range of the OP. (I hope). And if you are not comfortable with a councelor, please keep coming here to vent, cause we really do want to help.
(wishing I could move to a world far away from his OP)
Deb
