Hello friends, I haven't posted in about a week and figured it was time for an update.
Well, we've been back together for about a month now. She's stayed with me all but 2 nights and every night for the past week. I don't think she'll go to her apartment again, except to move stuff to mine.
Almost everything has been great between us. It's been so wonderful filling each other's needs. We're both eager to do things for each other. I hope it stays that way forever.
Very little LBing by either one of us. But all is not perfect. I have found OM's work # on her cell phone a time or 2. Problem with that is, she has friends that work there(she used to work there too) so she does have a valid reason to be calling. Each call has been under 2 minutes, and there has never been a call from him to her. She doesn't like having her call history checked, but she really doesn't get too upset. Not as bad as I would've thought. I let her know that there is absolutely nothing she has done to make me suspicious, she's been wonderful since the fog has lifted. But once she goes to sleep and I see that d*mn phone just sitting there, I have to see for myself.
Still having problems with my family, and it's getting worse the more they know. I haven't told them how serious we have become or that she's living with me again, but they know we're working on getting back together. My sister knows everything and she HATES it, I think she's told everyone else more than I've let on to. They're really starting to be rude to me about my decision to give her another chance. I love them all, they've been there for me when she wasn't, my kids love them, they love my kids. I can't thank them enough for being my support. But I believe in what I'm doing, I believe my children and my XW and I will be happiest together as a single family. I would never hold my kids over their heads, but the fact of the matter is, if they are rude to me, if every time I see any of them they trash my decision and try and make me feel like I'm making a huge mistake... I'll just stop visiting them, and my kids won't get a chance to see them either. I don't want to go around them if all they do is make me feel bad. I usually can shut them up by asking them if they'd ever been through something like this, or if they know anybody who went through this and still tried to resolve their problems. They just don't understand how I could still love her after all she's done. And they don't believe that she will ever be true to me. I'm really not too concerned about them, if they can't get over it, it'll be their loss in the end. It's just that it really bothers my XW that she's hated by people that are so close to me.
Anyway besides my family, life is great! I can't help but be happy. I'm glad I gave her another chance. Seeing the girl I knew for so long return is the best thing in the world to me. Her willingness to want to prove herself to me and having my love banks filled makes my life so much more complete. I knew she'd return, I hate that it took a D but it was really just another form of Plan B. I don't know if a perfect Plan B would've worked but it really doesn't matter to me now. She saw what it was like for me to move on without her and she missed everything I was to her. And now she appreciates everything I used to do and everything I do for her now even more. I've been busting my a$$ pampering her and she's returned the pampering to me and it's been fun for both of us doing it. It's like falling deeply in love for the first time, but it's actually better in a way. When we first fell in love it was in high school and we were too nieve to truly appreciate what love was about. Now we know and it's been incredible. We both forgot how much joy we could have just making each other happy.
So what else can I say... for anyone trying to make it work, hang in there.. it's worth it. Don't give up your dreams and a D is NOT always the end. It ended up being a new beginning for us.
Sorry for such a long post, didn't start that way.
BTW, how many posts does it take to become a member?

I am so happy for you! Your story is a true inspiration to others. I'm also very sorry that your family has been so unaccepting of your decision. It's a shame they can't see that the love you have for your W is like the love of Christ, UNCONDITIONAL! God forgives, and if we want to be with him in heaven, so must we. I don't know if your family is religious, but it might not be a bad thing to point this out to them. You've been a wonderful witness to your W, and she saw that, and now she's back where God wants her to be. With you and your kids! I will pray for continued healing recovery in your marriage. You give the rest of us incredible hope. Don't leave the site when we need good updates like this occasionally.
Take care and God Bless!
MOM

kb-
Sorry your family isn't accepting your xw, but this is about YOU, not them! I truly believe that you can show your family how happy you are, and they will eventually come around!
Sometimes I find it harder to forgive someone who has hurt my family, than to forgive someone who has hurt me! I know it sounds kooky, but it is the way I feel!
I find such encouragement in your post! I am saying prayers for you and your family! Keep up your faith, and all will be well!
Thanks for the GREAT report!
Krystal

Thank you Snowwhite, Myownme and Faith n Him for your kind words and encouragement.
It's been an extremely wild rollercoaster ride, but I couldn't be happier than I am now. Everyday since recovery started something has happened to encourage me that she is sincere and that I've made the right choice. Like early this morning. XW woke up around 4:00am and didn't see me in bed. She felt my side, where I was sleeping, and it woke me up. We ended up cuddling and saying sweet thing together until we fell back asleep in each other's arms. I'm so glad she woke me up, it's put me in the best mood today.
Take care everyone! Thanks again!

Congratulations on your progress!! I hope we are at the same spot. Life has been great this week. (On the hill of the rollercoaster? am I?)
As far as your family accepting your decsion, stick to your guns. NOBODY ever KNOWS what they would do unless they are in the same situation. They can THINK they know, but they really don't. Your family's judgements on both you and your wife is a sin. We are NOT to judge. I never realized this was a sin until it was pointed out to me. I always used to "side" with my family too and make judgements until I realized it was a sin. Its still difficult to do but it is a LEARNED behavior, I think.
Its sad that it took an A and a D to come to where you are, but success really isn't too gratifying unless there is some kind of struggle involved. KUDOS to you both for working on it together. Both you and your children will benefit greatly and as for the others, they can't understand cuz they "haven't been there".
MIkkey
