Ok guys and gals here goes. This gal needs some ideas. OW has called 4 times tonight. I was on the phone with SIL when the 1st call came through. OW had just tried to call H and he told her he needed to hang up, then did so. Of course this angered the rabbit who then called me. Same routine......
Now I need some quick witty comebacks. Ow called and identified herself and H's 'girlfriend'. H said it would be alright to retort: Which one?
The phone company agent told me to act like I was about to have the call traced or act like I was reporting the call to the police. Well, I am not quite there on the police threat yet. I really don't like to threaten, just do it....
So if you could all ..... have some fun and help me out, I'd really appreciate it. I think she is trying to call again on H's cell. Dumb bunny!!!!
Thanks,
L.

Honestly... skip the so called 'fun stuff'.. .and go right to harrassment charges. IMO, the legal way is the much more fun way! (but that's just me... )
Karen

Orchid,
Record the calls. Keep a log of the dates, times and length of calls.
Once you have RECORD (hard evidence) of more than 3 calls (a pattern) file an ANTI HARASSMENT ORDER on Mrs. Psycho Babble Rabbit.
Honestly, L. OW has stepped way way way over the line several times with this type of behavior. IT IS TIME!
Like Nike' .... Just DO IT! She's begging for it.
Much love to you.

Orchid,
I agree with everyone else. You need to take legal action. If you have a lawyer that you know have them send her a letter. In that letter they can tell her if she doesn't stop calling that you will file harassment charges and that you will file for a protection order against her.
Indy

Harrassment charges run a fine line in this county. I have to have proof of physical threats to make it worth showing up in court for. I am willing to this when we get to that point. Until then, I have to be patient and wait for her to lose hers and then when she slips up I will do just that.
It is hard being patient but it is a must right now. As for changing our home phone, yes it is possible, many business calls come through here so this has kept us from changing it. Also if these calls allow the OW to vent her anger at me then it maybe better than having her show up on my doorstep!!!
It is not an impossible task. I just need to be one step ahead. I think of a lot of things to do and say after, I need to be more prepared so as not to be taken unawares. We have 1 phone that shows caller id, I have put it on our main line. It was on our 2nd line. Our machine is set to answer all incoming calls.
Since my first post she has tried to call H's cell at least twice. Guess it's going to be another long night. H has to go to work so I don't know how the rest of the evening will be. This is a very persistent rabbit. She doesn't call for 2 1/2 weeks and boom.... multiple calls. Think it's PMS?
L.

Hi Orchid
Is it possible for the phone company to block her phone # from your phone? I live in Canada and I know that if you have the number of the caller all incoming calls will be blocked. A message comes on and says, I'm sorry the party you are trying to reach has decided not to take calls at this time.

OR
When you recognize her voice, how about saying, Sorry you have the wrong #.

Might be better, one touch she goes to jail ... get a small voice recorder handy around the front door too.

Hi,
Thanks for your support and responses. I have caller id up on my phone so I will be able to id the number then I will report it to have it blocked.
I am trying hard to keep it light so that I don't get too angry about it. This is the rabbit who swore she would never get involved with a MM again. Hm.....can't she stop now?
Oh well, I have been keeping busy by rearranging furniture and toys in son's room. All that physical exertion helped remove some frustration.
I threw out a lot of junk. All that Micky D's and Buger King free toys add up to a lot of junk..... LOL!!!
Anyway, thanks again.
L.

If she comes over it will be easier to file charges against her. Or you could answer the phone with Joe's pool hall, Heidi whore house or something like this, really throw her off track.
Block the # I feel that will really get to her.
Stay strong.

ROFLMAO
You have caller Id, you get her number..block it..
she can also set her phone to come in as "unavailable" number so you don't know who it is calling..so you could also set it to not accept calls from ppl who refuse to give their #..(sales ppl use this also..so it can block there calls too) It also blocks some cell phones..so if h tries to call he may not get through..(I learned that the hard way..LOL when stbx's phone calls were blocked..asked me WHY I blocked his cell)
But you could make a list of come backs as you think of them..keep them written down on a paper by the phone..I actually liked the comment..
Girlfriend?? Which one??
Or you could say..
Oh hey, how you doing?? How are things going??
How's work? You know I was just thinking about you
and how thankful I am that you have shown h and I just how much we really love each other..
or say--
Oh yeah by the way..H said to let you know if you called again to let you know he got his _______ whatever tests back..and that they were positive..
That would throw her off guard..

When you know it's her, click the phone on, then click it right back off without saying a word.

O,
There is an option with some phone cos. that allow you to report "harrassment" calls. This qualifies as one. YOu press appropriate nos. (here it is #57) after her call, and phone co. gets it. After 3 calls from the same # they send her a "nice" letter telling her to stop harrassing the party she is calling.
I like the idea of a tape recorder near the door, cause you are right, your Pscho Babble Rabbit woman will have NO problem showing up at your door if she can't get through by phone. Once she does THAT, then I think you'll have enough to file harrassment charges.
You guys are doing so good, don't let this upset everything. Even if he won't talk to her, I think she's trying to get to YOU. To make you LB, and aggravate him, so he'll run back to HER. Don't fall for it! Fight "smart" - not evil.
God Bless,
Lupo

I certainly wouldn't talk to her - that just gives her power. If she does come over you can call the cops on her and have her thrown in jail.

Honestly Orchird -- I cannot believe how much you tolerate from this woman.
Honestly? I'd lie. I'd file for an anti-harrassment order and I would say that she is threatening me.
For heavens sake all the evidence would point that way with all the phone calls. Who's gonna doubt you.
Or I'd push her buttons and make her freak out. Like "ohhh you want to talk to MY HUSBAND? darling, so and so is on the phone....giggle giggle.....ok honey.....sorry, he can't come to the phone right now.....can I take a message?....honey stop that! it tickles! giggle giggle giggle...."

Morning all,
Well just to update, there were a total of 8 calls overall last night. For some strange reason this woman calls in spurts. Hm..... the last series was about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Wonder if it is PMS related.
Anyways I did put her on hold the first time and never picked it back up. She kept clicking in my ear and redailing an additional 2 more times before she stopped. My SIL wanted to do a 3 way conference call. I just asked my SIL to stay on the phone with me until her calls stopped.
I have been thinking up of how to respond. Hopefully for her, I hope she never calls back. I mean, how would you feel if you knew that people were making fun of you because you were acting psyco? Then again, she does think highly of herself, so she may think she is justified in her selfish acts. ohhh well..... that's why she still retains her given name.....PBR...
Thanks for your ideas. H says she is annoying him (good). She did leave about 4 messages on his cell phone last night (after she called me) and he listened to 1 of them and deleted the rest (costs $.40 cents per call to listen to his voicemails - guess he doesn't even want to spend that on her). The one message he did listen to (partially) is where she apologized (don't know for what) then she tried to give him reasons why he needed to get back with her. Hm...... H said there are no reasons. He deleted the rest of that message and the others.
I am feeling a bit better. We did talk about what each of us would do should this happen again. So there is a plan and my caller id box was setup last night. Just waiting for the next attack.
You guys are good. Thanks for the support. I am back on my feet now.
L.
