Hello all my MB friends. Since today is
Thanksgiving I decided to start a thread about
thankfulness. What are you thankful for?
I am thankful that God has blessed me with 3 beautiful healthy children, a husband that loves me and is willing to work on our marriage, family and good friends who love and care about me, and this wonderful site called Marriage Builders where I have met many kind souls who have helped to restore my faith.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone,
C

I am thankful for the new things I am learning. I am thankful for the overwhelming love that I am able to feel for the first time in my life. Even though my WS is unable to show me love, I can, for the first time, feel the love of so many friends and family members. ALSO I AM NOT HAVING TROUBLE WITH SENSING AND KNOWING GOD'S LOVE for me and others which I have struggled with for the last couple of years. (Don't understand why but I think I will just go with it)
I am thankful for my DIL who has waited so patiently (most of the time) for my son to find his way. He is a late bloomer. They dated 9 years before marriage and now he interning in film editing and that has not been easy. I appreciate her understanding of him and what he is made of.
Also I am thankful for my niece-in-law who has such insight and problem solving skills for a young women....she is a good wife and mother and I am so proud of her.
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR AND I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I CAN SEE ALL THE GOOD IN MY LIFE.
Even though I have a heart full of thankfulness, I cannot deny that I am very sad today cause the spouse I shared so much with for 32 years is not by my side and that colors my world a different color.
TW

I too have many things to be thankful for!!
The wonderful knowledge that our Lord and Savior is so loving and kind.
Three kids that are doing pretty good through the diaster their father has caused.
My new house, a job that I love, being home in South Dakota, I do wish that my WH was here with me, but he is not, and I have learned to deal with that and am thankful for the support that I have received from family and friends, specially here at MB.
My parents have been a great support in all this and try hard to be understanding. That I am very thankful for.
So many things to be thankful for, I do need to remember to thank our Lord for all that he is given to me and to our nation this year.
Dawn

Good thread, Cybil. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful that through the pain of this mess I can still find things to give thanks for.
Thanks to MB and the support it provides through the worst hell I could've imagined.
Thank you Lord for all you've provided.
Dan
Unfortunately my WS is giving "thanks" for the OM. But with the grace of God I'll survive, thrive, and love again.

I am thankful that God gave me the patience to wait of the dreaded FOG!
Now...if he will give me the patience to wait out withdrawl and selfishness...then I'll be doing just dandy....cuz as some of y'all know....I think of myself as the queen of LB'ing....since I don't know when to shut my mouth.
Seriously though....I'm thankful that I have 3 beautiful and healthy daughters.
I'm thankful that I once again have my family back together and that at least some of us are trying to make it better than it has ever been....hoping that my WH will be coming around sometimes soon and joining in....he is in little ways.
I'm most thanful for the strangth and faith that I have found in myself....to be able to teach myself and my daughters that no matter what life throws at you....you can come out happy.
