Hi there. Yes, there are a lot of newbies - me being one of them. Sorry to have made things seem overwhelming, however, I hope that you will continue to welcome with open arms as you have the past couple of weeks. As for the Redbook thing - yes there are several of us from there. Redbook messed up our board, which had the same intentions as your board does here. So some of us migrated to the environment we grew to love only at a new destination - here. We are not trying to take over, just trying to gain and contribute. I know I for one have gained much the past couple of weeks, and hope that I have helped some as well. I'm not sure it has much to do with V-day, but who knows. As for my V-day, it was good because it was solely for me and hubby (and our son), with no outsiders. In any event, yes your insights are valuable and I look forward to being a continued part of this community. I have read and looked at the MB site shortly after my affair ended, but never realized it had a board like this. I am glad I found it. Take care.

Will the real Orchid please stand up!?!?!?

Hey, I am trying to stand up in this crowd and jumping up and down, waving my SAA and his needs/her needs book but I'm kinda short, ya know? LOL !
Ok, wave of newbies. Don't take this wrong all you newbies out there. It is ok for you to be here. This same things happened several times last year.
No you don't have to have over 3k in posts to be considered an old timer. I still feel like a young'n here myself.
The wisdom and valuable advice I have learned here from those around us is priceless. Oh yea, you saved me much in couselor fees and been way more accessible. Still in the end, I am the one responsible for what I allow myself to accept and do even in my marriage. Some of that I already knew but when this A thing hit, my line of reasoning was 'foggy' also.
I am back in the clearing and see things much better. I know you all can be also.
Ok Jo, I will do more MB work tonight. Can you sign me up for the graveyard shift? Hm....... I like working late and moving 'ol bones around. Do I sound gruesome or what? he he he LOL!!
L.
[ February 27, 2002: Message edited by: Orchid ]

Well, I'm not Orchid either....I'm one of the newbies that seems to have angered people with my presence .....simply because I am new ...or simply because I have posted .
Am I missing something here?
Yes, many of us did come from Redbook because we were no longer being helped there....we searched and searched and I believe all of us were under the assumption that this message board was open to any and all who were wanting to lend help or received help concerning rebuilding marriage/adultery.
Were we mistaken?
I can assure you, we did not mean to throw things all out of sorts nor cause any confusion. That's why we posted links.....went into lengthy explanations....and gave background on ourselves so we could ASSURE everyone here what our intentions were/are.
Many people here welcomed us individually and collectively. I thought we were welocme here.
selket
P.S. WHAT TUTTER SAID
[ February 27, 2002: Message edited by: selket ]

Dear Sel,
No your presence here along with the Rif raf club is welcomed. Just a bit overwhelming at first I am sure. But not as much if all this MB group ever went in a bunch somewhere else!!?!?!?
Support here is good. There are good and bad days like everything else. Some cry for help others help others cry. We manage and survive. Survive together is what MBers do best.
Stick around and push your count of posts over 1k. K?
L.

Redbook newbies... I wasn't including you... you guys... I don't know are like a well-seasoned group that added to the forum...
...and newbies don't take that wrong either... just that when a bunch of 'just found out' people start... it is like reliving your early days plus we want to make SUURE everyone feels welcomed and is taken care of...
...I hate it when I feel like someone is slipping through the cracks... so to speak...
kinda like that really nice student who never causes any trouble, but isn't doing very well in my class catches my attention...
HUGGS TO ALL NEWBIES...
Cali

LOL! Thanks, Orchid!
You know, on our old board.....many times The Board Snatchers would mosey on in and....BAM! However, those BS's (Board Snatchers as they have affectionately been referred to) were only there for one reason only....to insult...to harrass...to attack....and to disrupt....(okay, that's 4 reason, but you get my point. ) Their intentions were....to say the least....less than noble.
So, many of us know what it's like to feel "intruded upon" and I don't blame some for feeling this way. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't misunderstand things. I know some are frustrated.
And, honestly, I truly like it here. For me there is a totally fresh perspective. I've been able to open up more than a few cans of my own personal worms.
selket

tutter13,
Yes, this board is a God send ... thanks to Harley, God Bless their heart. Everyone is welcome here as long as trying to restore M in mind. We just wondering since we use to one or two newbies but not like this and not only from RedBook but new to any online forums. Your insight are valued in here.

How do you know if your posts have reached 1k? Is that when you go from junior member to member? Just curious. Thanks for welcoming us.

I hate to miss a party
tutter, look at the bottom of everyone's posts. It shows the number of posts they've made, and when they registered. I believe you leave junior status around 25 or so??? not sure about that.
Welcome all newbies!!! I don't think anyone was complaining at all!! I think Jo (Resilient) actually may have been expressing OUR frustration at being to provide enough help for all the newbies. And sad for the fact that soooooo many people have the need (infidelity) to come to a forum like this .

Ok, but does that mean you have reached 1k?
I understand the thought of not being able to provide enough help for all, but remember, many people find their answers in different posts as well. Plus, someone you might miss, others won't. Have a great day!

tutter,
You are no longer a 'junior' (junior used to be at 32, not sure if that has changed). U have over 50 posts to your credit. I do not know of any other level based on the count so keep posting.....
L.

Hi I'm also a newbie- came here simply by typing marriage builder in because thats what I want to do rebuild my marriage. I'm grateful for any help I get here- I've been separated for a year- see separate post 'Between plan A nad B 'and find that by Gods wisdom and grace I have been putting into action much of what is taught here but now I can see and hear of it working. Please keep up the encouragement and answers I for one appreciate all the help.Jante
