Blah Blah Blah, I'll post at the end of the thread.

My dear friends,
I need to take a break. Although I feel I have so much to offer, I realize that when I am feeling so much emotion over things that are happening on 'my' message board I am not doing something right.
I want everyone to know that I love you very much, and promise that I will come back. I've popped in and out before, so don't think I'm tossing you folks out.
Keep your chins up, do your best, and I will be thinking of you.
I would name people I could thank for making me feel so much better about things, but the list would include way too many people. Y'all know who you are.
If you need me, toss me an email or if you have my # feel free to call. I'm breaking up with MB temporarily, not my computer.
Love,
Elizabeth
[ April 07, 2002: Message edited by: justthewife ]

First you dump me for another audience, now youre splitting totally???
Why? I dont want you to leave! I'm only starting to get to know you too.
I thought we had something special.
Hmmm....
Think I'm sounding like I do trying to keep my H.
Seriously, if its what you feel you need to do right now then youve got my thoughts and prayers...I'll gracefully release you.
I'll miss you
Dancer

jtw,
I can certainly understand needing to step back and take a break. Especially when emotions get high - it DOES drain you.
Please come back soon. This is a fantastic place to learn and grow, and provide support to those who need it. It's wayyyyy to easy to take things personally and get upset about other people's decisions. We all do it.
Take care, and don't wander off too far, k?
P.S. I replied to you EN Open-mind thread, k? Just want to make sure you see it.
[ April 06, 2002: Message edited by: Faith1 ]

Elizabeth, I am so sorry you are under stress and high emotion... boy do I know... thanks for all your wonderful thoughts and encouragements. YOu are quite a joy to get a message from. I feel your sunny disposition across the miles, and your strength with your divorce. May the lord keep you and guide you. I do hope when You return, I will be around to say Hi... but hopefully in better feelings myself.
Hugs, Lisa

Um, I bet Elizabeth really appreciates y'all.
She is lucky to have such nice friends. Things went sour over on D/D and EN for her. I think she tried her best. But some people/issues got to be pretty toxic for her. I know that she will return, heck she will probably lurk as she always does when she isn't posting.
She just needs a time out. Sent to her room, can't come out till she can learn to play with everyone nicely or ignore them.
I'll be sure and send her your regards.
I'm going to respect her wishes and not post all of her complaints/whines/frustrations here, but I bet you could email her Jo.
Isn't her email on every post? If anyone needs her they can email I'm sure.
Anyway.
Peeking

After a more than a few totally suportive emails, the posts on my leaving threads, and what I've seen while trying to lurk, I decided that I should have a lobotomy.
I am needed and I am loved, and I could really use the support I get here. I also have decided that HH is right. I need to learn to get a grip. Well, that isn't what he said, but what I think he meant.
I will post some rules on my computer monitor. I will not engage in anything that might upset me, and I will not tolerate anything that is unkind, unloving, and unsupportive.
I will do my best to not offend people, but if I do it is only because it was a huge mistake and totally not planned.
I will also make big boundries. I am not going to go way into personal things anymore because they were used against me and it hurt. I may ask for someone to allow me to answer them by email, and if it is ok or not okay it is fine either way.
I am sorry to do this back and forth crap, but I was in such a tizzy and I have now gone to church and gotten an exorcism to get rid of that evil twin.
Love,
Elizabeth

glad you are still here.. I too had an mb tizzy a while back... and I have posted too personal and got some harsh advice that hurt me Alot... sometimes it comes when you do not need it.. it actually ended up helping me a little but I did not need the harshest tone I got.. see I am just a little ole gal in tx. with manners and such, at least I kind of tr y to be that way... wheen point blank told how STUPID... I am it,k hurt and I fought back on mb boards myself.. I know how it feels to have your safe place taken when you need it... and you are just on your own... I do not know the situaion and did not read about it.. but I am so sorry.. you seem so sweet in all the posts I read on gq, and I am sorry.. I am sure being newly divorced is quite difficult and sad... and hard.. hard hard to be a single mom... it is ok to not have a grip at all times.. it is ok to be the evil twin at times.. it happens to the most wonderful of all people... the passionate caring ones of us... sometimes go a bit berzerk... ya know??? I am sorry you were hurt.. hugs to you.. ande I hope you are still feeling good...
I loved the serenade thread and will remember it for a long time! thanks for connecting M ethridge with that song

AND I'm the only one who would walk across a fire for you....
something like that, not as good as you at remembering the songs.. by the way..is there a website you go to .. to get all the words?
Hugs again sweet elizabeth.. honey

Honey -
www.lyricsengine.com
www.songlyrics.com
There are a bazillion of them. If I know the artist, I put their name in a yahoo search. Then usually a few fan sites come up with wacky tributes and lyrics.
My story is one of those long wild ones. Fit for the National Enquirer.
This was first post here at MB. I found out tons of things as time went on, but this is a quick basic story. I'd like it if you read it Hon, it would give you an idea of where I am coming from.
Orchid, BH you guys are awesome.
BTDT, you too. Hey - I said something nice about you today! Just thought it would be neat for you to know that you are a legend in my mind.

Awww, that was very nice of you. I respect you too and I value your opinions too. I think probably everyone has felt the sting of wanting to leave MB discussion forums due to misunderstandings of some kind.
And that anxious feeling of the heart pounding out of your chest as you log into a thread where you may have crossed the line or said something too bold or made unfair assumptions or whatever.
Or how about when certain moods hit you and you just lose patience at different times and all the posts come across in that tone... It happens.
Someone sent me an e-mail recently and it had a good communication rule attached to it. The suggestion was to ask yourself before responding to others: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Embracing that attitude would probably eliminate a lot of inflammatory reactions here and anywhere we go... I know it helps me because in real life I rarely think before I speak! At least here, we have that opportunity!!!!
[ April 09, 2002: Message edited by: BINthereDUNthat ]
