I've read coach's stuff on here forever. He's chimed in on so many... I know, 2long. It was your wit cutting thru this newfound crap, which I appreciated. Yikes... and I just "applauded" him/her/it for being "human." Methinks I need a shower!

Personally, I prefer to think of us as trusting. And thank gawd for that. Wish I had some really good scotch going on tonight though, and no emotional pain so I could just dream up stories to fake people out and then laugh about it. Oh, what a life that would be.

committed Girl, that has pure yankee foolishness stamped all over it! A "shrug," indeed....

Pep, LM and all...I just want everyone to know that Cameo33 is NOT the same as Cameo.
Heck, the last thing I need is for people to think I'm hanging out on those type of sites!

Did you see the picture he posted 2long, on that ad?
I wonder if that is his true photo (well Pep thinks he's a girl anyway) but I had him pegged as an old Floridian retiree.
And way, way older than fifty.
Felt sorry for him really, the way he kept hanging on to his wife, who seemed like a superficial egomaniac obsessed with her position and status in life.
And if you are going to have an affair, who the heck would have an affair with a professor. HOW boring is that. Me, I would have made it a biker. Now that would have been a story. Old floridian status mongors messing around with common bikers. Wonder if Coach would have had a different attitude over that one.
Lets write our own drama.

Words he used on a thread to describe someone's elses drama.
Surreal
Unbelievable
Interesting that those are the words I would use to describe his **situation.** And would ask him--Coach, do you ever wonder why weird things just keep happening to you? (A question you asked someone else who was hurting.)
I think he was describing himself.

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby.

weaver,
Please stop second guessing your emotions. You are real. This creep is fake.

Another possibility:
He's "real" (whatever that is), and he's slipping - hence trolling for dates on ICQ.
Wouldn't be the first MBer 2 do something like that.

Nope...he's been member on the dating site...and that erotica one since 2002.
He ain't "slipping"....he's been in the muck since the start.

I know Aph. I find this more than a tad upsetting.
Some of us come to this site to look for examples, and the good people out there.
And then this. It is actually upsetting in so many ways.
The biggest is that others were here in serious pain, needing so much attention and it was diverted. That is a shame.

I noticed that the "male seeking female" 18-24 years old is labeled an "advertisement" at the top of the page. Is it coach's, or ICQs?
And 50, looking for 18-24? That might SEEM "fun", but it'd likely KILL someone MY age!

I am feeling a bit sad and so gullible. I guess I would rather believe he is real.
2long, on top of the ICQ page is a search...not with coach's age in it but a start ..18 to 24. That doesn't mean he was searching for a date. Maybe I am still hoping we are wrong. Where exactly does it say he is looking for a date.
He states he likes conversing with women. That he is looking for people...to converse with...I feel stupid,,,I so want to give the benefit of the doubt. Why post the photo's on Faith1's thread...why with his supposed wife? Why not keep it more anonymous?
