Thinking of you and your sit. I felt a sh*t/fan nexus coming on with you two.

The Euro doesn't make any sense for wealthy countries IMO. aving our fiscal policy set in order to primarily benefit the poorest nations is very 'worthy' but would lead to incredible hardship for much of our business.

Brown's 'prudent fiscal husbandry' has kept UK PLC on the straight and narrow for a while now, yet even now the party's ending with growth virtually at a standstill.

With interest rates in place that primarily support Greece and Spain we'd be in even deeper poop IMO.

'sides, my kids love playing with all the foreign notes I have in my travel wallet !

At least the Euro wouldn;t have Camilla on it either !

The nexus exploded & pebble dashed our interior.

The smell is about bearable, on clean up duty.

Found the cause. Looking for Action.

Living in hope.

Begining to recognise more of my own mess making abilities.

Ahhhh I understand your point of view (rubbing chin & nodding).

Celtic tigress here.
Very much benefitted from the Euro xchange mechanisim.

On the kids side, yes I used to hand over all my 'play' money until one of my nephews asked for a 50 note instead of that unspendable stuff....

Use to have mountains of different currencies mostly usdollars, drachma, krone, ffr, sfr, dms, escudo' waiting to go back to them countries within the month, & often not then taking the left overs out with me, & buying at the airport.

Now I love the Euro. It is so readily usable everywhere as a consumer, earner & investor.

My kids only want Euros - spendable money to them - now

Doesn't help, either, that he was as drunk as a sailor on shore leave.

Bob, can't you sane people over there get rid of that dang monarchy thingy you have going? It's so old hat. Cut 'em loose, that's what I say.

Just had to share this:

Charles & Camilla
Prince Charles was driving around the Windsor Castle estate when he accidentally ran over his mother's favourite corgi, crushing it to a pulp. He got out of his Range Rover and sat down on the grass, totally distraught. The whole world was against him anyway, and now his mother would go ballistic. Suddenly, he noticed an old oil lamp half buried in the ground. He dug it up, started cleaning it up, and immediately a genie appeared.

"You have freed me from thousands of years of imprisonment," said the genie. "As a reward, I shall grant you one wish."

"Well," said the Prince, "I have all the material things I need, but let me show you this dog." They walk over to the splattered remains of the dog. "Do you think you could bring this dog back to life for me?" the Prince asked.

The genie carefully looked at the remains and shook his head. "This body is too far gone for even me to bring it back to life. Is there something else you would like?"

The Prince thought for a minute, reached into his pocket and pulled out two photos. "I was married to this beautiful woman called Diana," said Charles, showing the genie the first photo. "But now I love this woman named Camilla," and he showed the second photo to the genie. "You can see that Camilla isn't beautiful at all, so do you think you can make Camilla as beautiful as Diana?"

The genie studied the two photographs and, after a few minutes, said, "Let's have another look at that dog."

That is soooo bad. I couldn't get the sound but I guess it is "Killer Queen". At least that's what came to my mind.

Morning Bob.

So she smokes 2? Is that why she is sooo stinky? I thought it was B.O.?

wow...I think my xh is the reincarnation of HenryxIII....

Camilla should be featured on the cover of "english setter monthly". Bleech.

And I as well as BobP think Charles pulled a Henry with regards to the death of his lovely w Diana.

When I thought I was gonna divorce, I remembered what had happened to Diana....I felt alot of her pain..she was betrayed, mentally abused to point where she didn't eat (my xh wanted me skinny constantly)and in the end gave up her title and but regained her dignity. She blossomed into an even more beautiful woman and to Charles' dismay, regained popularity...even more...and was suddenly the most eligible woman in the world! Meanwhile, charles was in the yard with horseface...then his beautiful xw fell in love with somebody also powerful. Somebody who made her feel good about herself. And was somebody she felt comfortable having her kids around. Faced with that, and the possible crumbling of the monarchy, I feel Charles had little else he thought he could do....rather than having done the right thing and worked out life with his real family, he had the driver of her mercedes have a mickey slipped into his drink or something.

Two very distinct memories I have are of her funeral procession...I remember thinking Charles did not look that sad...and her poor sons who looked as though their light had been taken from them..and her flowers with the card reading "mummy" on them.

As I look back on my own life, I see how my xh did some very hurtful and harmful things including breaking into my home, having me followed, and some other things I will not post here about...rather dangerous. I am happy and thrilled I am still alive and kicking. I hope I can be as she was...the best divorcee around!
